I recieved a promo letter from cory fair banks mazda. I happened to be shopping for a car the letter stated. Vehicle disposal sale. Bring a dollar and we'll make your 1st 7 payments! Pre-owed certified cars and trucks! And a voucher for 2912.00. Also a scratch ticket for 1000.00 internet shopping spree. I figured it was a big scam to get u in the door so I called to talk to a salesman and asked him what the deal was? First I talked to Timothy Faith he said it was no scam they would pay 7 payments or take 2912. off the price of the car. The car i was looking at was on thier web site for sale for 17588 and I told him that and asked him point blank if they were going to take the 2912 off that price he said yes and took all my information on the phone he also said I would get my 1000. shopping spree also on the internet. But he wouldn't be there wed which was my day off and thats when I wanted to go so wed I called another salesman whom I asked to make absolute sure with his manager that this was the case before i drove over there for nothing. He came back with yes this was the deal they would do. So I drove to longwood and drove the car. went inside to do the paperwork and they told me that they couldnt take 2912 off the 17588 they would only give me 1000. off and then after tag title and tax i would of finance 18000 so I said thats not what you told me before I drove all the way over here. I was told this would be the price and you would sell me this car at the 14676 price by 2 salesman now you are changing the quote and the story. This dealership is under investigation bythe state attorney and I got the information from local 6 news. Needless to say I bought another car from another dealership. All I can say is don't go to cory fairbanks they lie and scam and quote untruths to get you to thier dealership. They are worse then anyone I've ever dealt with they also wasted half my day off driving there and going through all that crap Beware!!

Might be some good reading for you car buyers!

AUTHOR: Stick - (U.S.A.)

Tammy reading what I found on the net, I would think real hard and long about doing business with this car dealer. Look at their Privacy Disclaimer.

It seems that after you do business with them or apply for credit on their web site your "Private" NOT none private info "might be sold" to big solicitation companies. You know maybe a "sucker list"

Their disclaimer says

(We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources"
"Information that we receive from you on applications or other forms. Information about your transaction with us, our affiliates or others; and Information we receive from consumer reporting agency)

(We may disclose all of the information we collect, as described above, to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements. We may not make such disclosures about you as a consumer, customer, or former customer.)

(We may also disclose nonpublic personal information about you as a consumer, customer or former customer, to nonaffiliated third parties as permitted by law.)

I would contact the following people at your two local newspapers and see if you can get them both to do an investigation on why the below list of car dealers are being looked at by your AG's office.

This is a big list of car dealers that are being looked at, I wonder why?
The following is a list of car dealerships under investigation from the state attorney general's office as featured on Local 6 News:

To think that a Mercedes Benz dealer made the list. HUMMM Makes me think what new scams car dealers are using in Fla. Many car dealers love to play with car buyer's credit ap's before they send them to lenders. Can we say "Banking Fraud"?
