Cottman Transmissions They never fixed my car right and cut my wires Metuchen New Jersey

It all started on 7/30/07 when I took my son's 94 Camaro to Cottman Transmissions in Metuchen, NJ to get looked at. Joseph never called me to let me know what was going on with the car so I called and he told me it was an internal problem. Joseph said he would call me back (but never did). I finally got him on 8/1/07 and he informed me that the transmission was bad and i needed a new one. It would cost me $2800.00. I told him no way. Joseph then informed me that I already invested $400.00 into the car already. For what I asked and he said for taking the transmission apart. Which I never gave him permission to do. I then called corporate and spoke to Liza. She put us on the phone together and I told them all I want is my car back the way it is. Joseph wouldn't agree to that.

So, my boyfriend and I went there on 8/2/07 and spoke with this idiot and he begged us to let him do right by fixing the car for $1600.00 with one year warranty. Also, I reported him to BBB. When the car was done my boyfriend and son went to go pick up the car and when they went for a test drive it was acting weird so they put it up on the lift to find all loose nuts and bolts. Had to leave the car there again and have it all tightened up.

We had the car back for a few days when it starting acting weird again. Took the car back to them to find out that there was a problem with the torque converter. They said they fixed it but low and behold again the car was acting weird. We took it to them again and this time it was a cracked piston. They never call you back to tell you anything about your car and when you call there they hang up on you.

So on 8/16/07 I called Joseph to see when the car would be ready and he said around lunch time. Well lunch time came and went and still no phone call. I called Joseph only to find out that my car was broken down at the tavern. I guess where he was out having drinks with my car. I was told that it was an electrical problem. Joseph said he was going to get towed to there shop and worked on right away. It was never towed until 6:00 that night because Cottman owed the towing co $800.00 and they refused to tow any vehicles for them.

I called corporate and spoke to Carol which is nothing but a waste of time. She is a horrible person who doesn't give a crap about you or your car. There shouldn't even be a corporate since they do nothing to help you. Carol said if I have anymore problems to call her. Yeah right. So I called Michael and explained to him everything that happened with Joseph and he said he would talk to him in the morning and find out what they did to my car and call me the next morning (which he never did).

Three days go by and I'm still waiting for Joseph to take my car to a shop that does electrical work. Joseph had a different story and excuse every day as to way my car was still sitting in his garage. I finally had it and called Carol at corporate again and got nowhere once again. Then my son called Joseph and asked him if the car finally went to the electrical shop. Joseph response was no that there was another problem and hung up on my son.

I called Carol at coporate and she connected me with Joseph while she listened in. He was a complete idiot and rude. Joseph admitted that he put 40 miles on my car while he was out robbing banks. He also told me that he had no intentions on fixing my car and that if I didn't get it out of there by that morning he was going to charge me $35.00 per day. I called triple A and the police and went there to get my totally dead car. Which by the way was in running condition when I took it there. Now it had to be flat bed home. The police almost arrested him for being uncooperative and refusing to give them any paperwork on my car. The tow truck driver that was there just happened to be the one that towed my car 2 days prior. He said that Cottman Transmissions is nothing but a joke and a ripoff place. They owed them $800 which they had a hard time collecting.

We get the car home and my boyfriend looks under the hood to see what the problem is it is cut wires four of them. That is way my car in now totally dead. They cut my wires and corporate will not do a thing about it. I am taking them to court and I will trying to get a news crew to go there and put them on tv. I went them to go down. They do not deserve to be in business. They are ripoff people and a bunch of liars.
