Country Inn by Carlson does not honor their "Best Online Rate Guarantee".  This guarantee provides a 25% discount off of the cheaper rate if you find one less than they quote online.  I was quoted $112 (US) per night by Country Inn.  EasyClickTravel.com - through Kayak.com - quoted me $75 (US) per night for the same reservation.


Upon filing my claim Country Inn (corporate) stated that the lesser rate must be "bookable" in the local currency of the hotel.  The hotel I was interested in was in Canada.  EasyClickTravel.com does not offer the option of booking in different currencies.  The rates were obviously, and substantially, different.  Country Inn will not honor their advertised guarantee even though any reasonable person can see that they should.
