Countrywide Home Equity Loan, Refinance Dallas Texas

Sometimes early last year my current mortgage company, Countrywide, started contacting me via mail and phone, offering me a refinance to help lower my payment and consolidate bills. At the time I had been talked into an interest only loan for 10 years with a mortgage company, as well as a seperate 2cd mortgage to get the money that I needed to recover from a divorce. The offer from countrywide seemed good, since my home had just appraised for $205,000.00 in less than 6 months they siad they would use the appraisal. I did all they said to do, sent in all documents, paystubs, etc.

However, somehow they forgot they were going to use my current appraisal and charged me over the phone for a new appraisal. The appraiser came out and spent less than 15 minutes at my home and returned an appraisal for below what my home was worth. Thus, this ended the refinance offer from Countrywide.

In the summer, my home caught fire and burned the upstairs portion. Luckily I had Mortgage rescue Insurance which I purchased through Countrywide, or so I thought.

Each payment on my mortgage was made late by their own insurance company. Recently Countrywide began contacting me again with offers of Home Equity loans, since, according to them I had over 60,000.00 in home equity. I ignored them for some time due to my previous experience from them.

However, one day the phone rang and I answered it, low and behold it was Countrywide with their sugarcoated offer once more. I agreed to speak with a loan officer, since my insurance company, State Farm, had screwed me out of so much money owed for my personal losses.

Countrywide could not do me the Home Equity Loan or the refinance, BECAUSE they have filed 6 months of late payments on my credit report, which they made themselves with their mortgage rescue insurance, knocking my credit score all of the way down to 523.

I think this is a crock, Countrywide needs to be held responsible for all of the false offers they have made thousands across the USA.I would rather live in a tent on a creekbank than to make one more payment to Countrywide.
