 Please do not buy a puppy from Alice at counts cove kennels in perris California. This place is a puppy mill. They are beeding pairs of dogs that have sicknesses and undesirable personality traits. They breed dogs based on looks and not disposition. Since Alice has probably close to 100 huskies in her kennel she has no idea what her dogs personalities or dispositions are. Not to meantion she cannot possibly exercise that many dogs the way they need to be exercised. I read one compliant that someone "dumped" their puppy back on them after a week because they couldn't handle the energy level. She doesn't handle any amount of husky energy because all of her breeding dogs, returned dogs and adult dogs that were leftover from previous litter rot away in her kennel. It's also worth noting that it's extremely inhumane to breed huskies, a dog built for snow, in the middle of the desert in perris California. Without access to air conditioning in the summer months I can't imagine how many of her dogs have suffered from heat stroke.

I bought a puppy from Alice two years ago, I knew at the time this place was a puppy mill and I should have turned away and written this report then. I couldn't bring myself to leave the sickly puppy in her care. All of the puppies in the kennel at the time had giardia and coccidia. Two fairly common parasites, while it was annoying to have a couple hundred dollars in vet bills getting him well that is not my main complaint. I love my dog very much he is special to us but is so extremely aggressive. I work with dogs professionally and have been trying to train his aggressive behavior out for over 2 years. At this time he is manageable but left in the average dog owners hands I can almost guarantee he would have been returned. It's unfortunate that Alice does not know the personalities of her dogs and breeds such aggressive dangerous dogs. It saddenes me to think about other families having to put down their dogs or surrender them because of aggression issues that are due to poor breeding practices. Anyone who says this place is not a puppy mill is not a dog lover. Sure the dogs have food and water and shade. They do not however have exercise, they are constantly getting parasites and have little to no human interaction. Unless Alice had a team of full time employees helping her take each dog out, clean cages and give them attention, groom them etc she, just one person, cannot do all of that work herself. I know she does not have full time employees because I've visited the kennel 3 times and personally asked if anyone is employed and she said no. If you're considering buying a puppy please look elsewhere. I know this place is convenient because they can give you a puppy right away but a small family breeder who loves their dogs would be worth the wait.
