Saw online ad for 1955 Ford. I telephoned & was given location, condition, transport fees, & price. Coyote Classics included several photos of the car in the ad.& I spent hours inspecting them & looking at similar cars for price comparison. I also checked with several car value expert web sites. With every concern I contacted Coyote Classics for explanations.

The following are direct lies that I was told regarding the concerns that I had expressed.
Door fit...Was told fit is perfect & that a bad camera angle & or glare caused appearence of poor fit.
Regarding apparent tears in upholstery...Was told that I saw only dirt & that once they detailed the car upholstery is great.
Window condition...I was told the glass is perfect...In fact 2 windows are broken.
I questioned the driveability... Was told the engine & transmission were very strong & could be driven anywhere... The car leaks various fluids so bad that I covered garage floor in card board trying to soak up most of leaking... I am embarressed to drive due to billowing smoke.
This car has rusted front cross member, ratty upholstery, rusted roker panels, rusted top. I replaced plugs, points, fuel pump, carb. drained oil as thick and dirty as I have ever seen. Driver's side door body work is crumbling apart. Hundreds of dollars in necessary parts are missing.
Car was to be detailed , all fluids changed, & tuned prior to shipping to me.

I accepted several hundred dollars from Coyote Classics to leave them alone, drop BBB claim, & replace some of the parts. I have left them alone for nearly a year now, but I have not been able to drive the car, actually have less than 100 miles since I got it. It is currently broken down & parked in my garage. I agreed to drop all of my complaints, but I spent a large portion of my retirement fund to buy this "show" car.

I need to warn any other unsuspecting potential buyers to beware. I asked direct questions about this car & Coyote chose to tell me direct lies. Buyer Beware. I am totally disabled & wife has lost a full 90% of her income. Had high hopes that at worst this car would hold it's value so I could sell if I ever had to. Problem is that the car is worh about 50% of what I was taken for.

To Rip off Report Viewers: I Chad Austin, owner of Coyote Classics am not proud or happy that our name and reputation is veiwed on this website.  We have been in business since 2005 and have worked hard on selling the right classic car to the right person.  For those of you that enjoyed or worked on classic cars understand that no two cars are exactly the same, just like no two people are either.  Every car is a little different.  We do not sell just projects nor do we just sell show quality cars.  We take pride on selling to a wide range of customers from $3000 classics all the way up to high as $46,000  R code Mach One has been sold at our dealership.  We take up to 70 pictures and also one or two videos of each car and put them right on our website so that customers can view the cars from all the angels before they even have to spend a nickel to call on one of our cars for sale.  I just want our customers that view this page to know that on average we sell 18 cars a month and have been in business for eight years.  With those figures we have  averaged just over 1700 classic cars sold since 2005.  We know that we cannot please everyone but we do our best and do follow up with our customers after the sale and we do what we can to make things right.  We did the same with Eddie the customer in 2008 that wrote this report.  Just so you know the whole story we sold Eddie a 1955 Ford Red and White 2dr Fairlane that looked and ran good.  It was not a ratty car but what i would call a driver condition car not a show car but a nice looking car.  The sale price was $10,250 so you can have a idea of what condition the car was in.  I wish I still had a picture to it inside and out to post for you but i do not.  After Eddie found problems with the car we worked with him and even offered to buy the car back for what he had paid for the car if he shipped it back.  After talking with him we had come to a agreement to issue him $675 to purchase parts to go with his repairs that he was going to make on the car.  He signed a letter that he was satisfied with the deal and he would not contact us or write anyting about or dealership.  About 7 months went by and then we received another email from Eddie saying that he had contacted many places to ruin our reputation and he wanted his money back on the 1955.  The list of things that Eddie did not like about the car just kept getting bigger and bigger.  Anyway after Eddie was offered the purchase price of his car if he shipped it back, and after Eddie signed a legal document saying he would stop contacting us about this and that he accepted reimbursement for repairs that is when he psoted this on her.  I could seek legal action due to him signing a legal document but we are not like that.  I know this report has not helped sales but I can tell you that we have tons of customers that are more than happy with our business and we selling cars daily.  We know that we are not going to make 100% of the people happy but we would like to.  I apologize to Eddie the editor of this letter and anyone else that might have expected more out of the old car that they have purchased.  We sincerly do our best here to sell affordable classic cars and describe them to our best or our ability.  Please see the link of some of our customers that took the time to write back and say thanks!

I stand corrected

AUTHOR: Eddie - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 09, 2009

I posted the complaints about Coyote Classics.

What I failed to mention is as follows.

I knowlingly & willingly paid 10 grand for a car that I never even looked at.

I chose to make the purchase even though all responsible collector car sites warned explicitly against ever buying anything sight unseen.

I have been my own worst enemy & probably deserve just what I have for being so reckless with a large sum of cash.

I am 55 years old & have led large firms to financial success.

I should have known better.

I never should have accepted another man's opinion on the condition of the car.

Nowhere have I been able to find anyone else that has anything bad to say about Coyote Classics.

I must give them the benifit of the doubt in that they did not intentionally oversale the car. I had the chance to do it right, but opted to trust my instincts.
