During my time with this company I thought it was going well. However being a Veteran of the the military, the VA has allowed me to attend this school to obtain my training to be a Professional Truck Driver.  I went through the courses, obtained my CDL, and even went for my Phase I training.  Which included 30 days on the road.  After getting back a person gets evaluated, meaning a small driving test, and backing test to see if your trainer taught you anything over the 30 days.  But we Veterans are getting it up our ***** with no lube.  I have found out that the Veteran Affairs pays this company to keep us Veterans employed and trained.  Well with that being said, CR England is a poor company that I do not want to ever work for again.

They take the VA's money, and then waits til we get far enough and then sends us on our way by saying that we are terminated from the compnay.

Another thing is Violation of DOT compliances;  If for any reason a driver fails a driving test or evaluation driving test they are to be given at least 48 hrs to review and then are allowed a redo.  Also it is 5mph in any school facility parking lot.  They insturctor had me put it in 3rd gear going 15-20 mph in the parking lot of the school facility.  And I was not given the opportunity to redo my evaluation driving test.  Therefore I am looking to file a complaint and see what action I need to do in order to file as to have my time and service paid back to me.

So for any veterans out there looking to pursue in a truck driving career do NOT apply at CR England.  Go to any other trucking company that the VA will provide and the company does not discriminat against any veterans.

Providing truth about what the VA tells vets

AUTHOR: Im me thats all - ()

POSTED: Sunday, April 06, 2014

First off let me tell you what Suzanne from driver advocates is not telling you. I am a veteran of the armed forces who was honorably discharged. I had called the VA to try an use my MGIB (MONTGOMMERY GI BILL) to pay for the school. The VA had told me to Use the programs offered by CR England and to save my MGIB for college if I chose to go to college instead of driving for CR England. I still owe CR England money for the school/training that they provided. The VA would not even set up the forms for me to sign and give to CR England so I wouldnt owe them after the training was done if i chose to not stay. CR England has no authority to force the VA in paying for the school for vets. What CR England tells you about the VA dont believe, what CR England does tell you is that you dont have to pay them back after 6 months of driving for them if you are a veteran and after 9 months for non vets. What they dont tell you is they take it out of your .25cpm to .26cpm checks regardless till the 3999 is paid off. Just wanted to shed some light on this topic

C.R. England loves veterans!

AUTHOR: C.R. England - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, April 02, 2014

My name is Suzanne and I work in the Driver Advocates Department at C.R. England.  I would like to shed some light on a few topics that have been mentioned here.  I encourage anyone to contact me directly if you have any questions.  You can send me an email to driveradvocates@crengland.com.  You can also find more information about C.R. England at our website crengland.com.

Here at C.R. England we are proud to employ thousands of veterans.  We actively seek to recruit veterans because we have found them to have a strong work ethic and be exceptionally teamwork oriented.  C.R. England loves veterans and we are honored to have so many veterans on our team!

C.R. England is VA Approved which means that veterans can use their GI Bill benefits to obtain their CDL and start a new career.  The VA will help pay their tuition and fees for the schooling required. This is a great way for veterans to kick start their career after they conclude their Military Service and we are proud to provide this opportunity.

For veterans who do not have GI Bill benefits, C.R. England is proud to offer free tuition to our schools with an offer of employment and a contract that new student agrees to drive for us for at least 6 months.  We also offer free tuition to non-veterans with an offer of employment and a contract the new student agrees to drive for us for at least 9 months.  This tuition is all paid for by C.R. England and whenever a student doesn’t fulfill their side of the agreement, we lose money.  Although we’ve heard rumors among our drivers that we are reimbursed for this free tuition, this is not true.  There is no reimbursement from the government or anywhere else.

Safety is our #1 value and if for any reason a driver fails a driving test or evaluation, we take this very seriously.  We feel that we have a responsibility to keep strict safety guidelines both for our employees and the general motoring public.
