I placed an order from craftkitsandsupplies.com on Saturday June 12th for some supplies I needed for Girl Scout camp. As soon as I placed the order, I realized that there was a second item that I had intended to order that I had forgotten to put in the shopping cart.
I went into the contact information and e-mailed a note asking them to contact me so that I could add an item to my order before it shipped. Since their written shipment policy stated "please allow 2-3 days processing time" before items are shipped, I figured I would be able to amend the order to include the item I needed without any trouble.
I waited all day Monday and never received an e-mail response to my written request nor did I receive an order confirmation. So, I tried to call Monday afternoon getting a busy signal several times before I finally got someone's voicemail and left a message. By Tuesday afternoon, I still had no response from them either to my voicemail message or to my e-mail request.
I called again on Tuesday, getting a busy signal several times before I finally got through to a man on the phone on Tuesday afternoon and told him that I wanted to add the additional item to my order. He asked me for my order number and he said that my order had already shipped. Bummer but ok, fine, it was my mistake for not double checking my order before placing it.
After I hung up the phone, it occurred to me that I had never received any communication from this website at all regarding my order. No order confirmation, no shipment confirmation, no replies to my requests to be contacted. So, I started to worry and called back on Wednesday and asked for a tracking number. He asked me for my order number again, and remebered that he had talked to me the day before. He confirmed again that the order had shipped but that he would have to e-mail me the tracking number because it was too long to give it to me verbally over the phone.
I explained to him that that seemed odd--that he couldn't just read it off to me as long as I was already on the phone. He said that the number was on a different computer. I explained to him that I was starting to worry about my order and gave him the reasons why---no response to my e-mail or voicemails, no order confirmation, no shipment confirmation, and now no tracking number. At this point, he started to get upset with me and said that he didn't understand what the problem was.
I explained that my credit card had been charged for items that I had no legitimate way of proving were even being sent to me. He said in a very gruff manner that I would receive an e-mail with the tracking number within 15 minutes. I said that sounds great and we hung up the phone. That phone call occured on Wednesday June 16th and as of today Saturday June 19th, I still have no confirmation my items have been shipped. And, obviously, I haven't received the items.
I went to the website again today in a final attempt to find a way to track my order and there is no option for order status or tracking. My credit card company is aware of the situation and I have disputed the charge.
In the mean time, I've had to find a new source and pay expedited shipping (which we really can't afford) in order to receive my items in time for Girl Scout camp.
Needless to say I will not be using this website again and will make sure to post the name of this website both on the GS national blog and also on my school district's blog as an internet business you want to steer clear of.
