NEVER AGAIN Craig Keto with Albert Anthony Real Estate

When you are about to list or sell your home and/or investment property, a simple search will show that there are hundreds and maybe even thousands of realtors to choose from in the Pittsburgh area. This post is dedicated to saving you money, time and tremendous aggravation by advising you on simply not choosing one of them, Mr. Craig Keto with Albert Anthony Real Estate.

I'm not your typical complainant. I'm not one to spew lies and inflammatory remarks so that one person's career goes straight down the tube. I know how some of these forums are taken advantage of through its anonymity. Its not my intention. I only notify you, the General Public, in a quest to save a fellow human from the same grief and loss that I went through by choosing the one out of the thousand Real Estate Agents in Pittsburgh that I could've easily avoided had I been alerted in this way.

Briefly, I recently listed a property with Mr. Craig Keto from Albert Anthony Real Estate. Young, energetic and full of promises he was. I was enthused with the idea that I would have such a "hungry" real estate agent on my side.

As it turns out, I learned that this young buc was a dud. Now given, Pittsburgh is not the HOTTEST real estate market... So when you find a potential Buyer, you need to play your cards right. You must have someone skilled to negotiate strategically on your behalf and Sell them on your property. Time and time again I found myself inferiorly represented.

Craig Keto screamed inexperience in each and every potential Buyer encounter. Ever time a lead came up the pipeline, the only thing he took part in was adding confusion to the equation. You would think... How hard can it be? An offer comes in and you present it to your client right? And maybe a long the way you interject some sort of selling technique for your clients benefit? Thats what we thought! Craig Keto was able to demonstrate a number of times how sadly we were mistaken. It finally led to Mr. Craig Keto being the sole reason that we lost a deal.  It was there! IT WAS RIGHT THERE!!!! But due to one of his many careless and inexperienced mistakes, we lost it. 

It cant get much worse when the person you hire to sell your property is the sole reason for it not having sold. At that point we had to cut ties permanently. The damage Craig Keto caused for us had gone TOO FAR!  It wasn't out of spite or hatred towards the guy. We just couldnt afford to be his guinea pig in the education process. He was trying his best, but he simply lacked ability and skill. 

Probably the most notable mistake and the reason I post this today is that rather than soak it up and learn a solid lesson from his most notable mistake in an effort to benefit his career in the future, the texts and actions that followed showed his true immaturity. A spiteful and immature slue of activity followed from Mr. Keto. I do not want to dull you with the specifics as it would serve no purpose other than highlight his embarrassments. That is not my intention here. Why dig in such a way?  Just take this as a warning. Chances are you wont see this type of review on the many other available options as it relates to other real estate agents available to you. So click away from him and go onto to the next one.  Do not offer your property and your financial stability as further training for someone that needs plenty of it. 

Seek experience, seek professionalism, seek maturity. You will have a leg up by having read this and simply eliminating Craig Keto from your available options.

The amount of lies and deceit in this posting is absurd. 

What Mr. Cohen doesn't tell you is the following:


The only reason Mr. Cohen owned the subject property is because Craig found it for him and called him directly to inform him of it.  Mr. Cohen then didn't want to pay a finder's fee and demanded part of the commission from the sale of the property to even work with Craig, meaning that Craig was paying Mr. Cohen to sell property that he found for him.  That is not the norm but is what Mr. Cohen demanded. 

Craig was warned by no less than 4-5 very well respected real estate investors to avoid working with Mr. Cohen, as he wasn't someone worth doing business with.  They told Craig this due to their experiences working with Mr. Cohen.  Craig, having a kind heart and believing that people are inherently good, decided to work with Mr. Cohen anyway. 

Mr. Cohen also doesn't tell you that he was rude and difficult to work with during the entire length of the relationship.  He provided very little information to help sell the property and wouldn't respond to requests for information, even with items as simple as surveys.  Floor plans and blueprints are normally provided when selling new construction.  They were not provided in this instance.  Craig had practically nothing to work with besides a drawing on an easel of the skyline.  The property was not well kept and when issues were reported, they went unaddressed. 


There were never any deals lost due to Craig.  That's outright false.  Craig did his best, even keeping the floors and property cleaned, picking up trash, hosting multiple open houses and events for the local Chamber of Commerce at the property.  Out of spite since the units didn't sell, Mr. Cohen posts these remarks, which isn't very professional. 

Mr. Cohen has been fined hundreds of thousands of dollars and had his own properties ordered vacated vacated due to the conditions, where it was said that "They put their tenants at risk," said District Justice Gene Ricciardi of the  South Side. "They've really damaged the reputation of the Oakland community.  These citations were very serious. Although Craig forgives Mr. Cohen for the entire situation and prays for him, Craig recommends thinking twice before working with Mr. Cohen.  Ask around and search the internet and make your own decision. 

Also, what Mr. Cohen doesn't tell you, is that Craig set records on multiple properties he sold.  On a 6 unit apartment building Craig recently sold, well after the date of this complaint, Craig was approached by one of Mr. Cohen's associates asking to work with Craig on helping him purchase properties.  This request was politely declined.  Craig has sold millions of dollars of real estate since this complaint and has many happy clients, both sellers and buyers.  Don't let this one sour apple spoil your view of the whole tree.

Trends Capital, good lord.

They never provided the post office with a key to my building's front door. So, mail isn't delivered. So, when they sent my lease renewal/"tell us if you want us to call you when we show your apartment" form, I never got it. So, one morning my boyfriend and I were roused from bed by a woman just waltzing the f**k into my apartment to show it. Didn't knock, didn't ask if anyone was home, then when I flipped out, she mentioned the form I never signed. Which I never got.

Oh, and my upstairs neighbor's water heater broke a few weeks ago in the middle of the night, water was pouring into my closet for about 6 hours while I waited for someone to fix it.

Yeah. There's apparently a reason "f**k TRENDS" is carved into the wall of one of the hallways.

Also known as Elrod investments and a couple other names. Jason Cohen is the owner and he deserves a slow painful death. Avoid them at all costs.

He showed our apartment without telling us too. I told the potential tenant to run as far as he could.

Also, no heat, cracked radiators, broken locks, leaks, fire escape broken, and it got condemned shortly after I moved out. This was 331 McKee.

Pros: great location. That is all.

 

Yeah. I mean I LIKE my apartment and its a good price for where it is in Oakland (saw something a few blocks closer to campus for $100 more) but its the moment something goes wrong that this place becomes an absolute shithole. I signed my lease for another year, which is probably dumb considering that everything that has gone wrong has occurred since I moved in 7 months ago, but I really want to like it here.
