I was looking to get a new car after dealing with costly repairs on my current one for the last year so my mother told me about this Crazy 88 commercial that comes on television at 2:00 in the morning. She called the number and told them she saw the commercial and everything else. We started getting calls from different finance consultants dealing with crazy 88 and all of them said the same thing: no down payment or $88 down and only pay $88 a month for a certain amount of time then the normal payments take place. It seemed like it was pretty good considering the fact that our credit wasn't so great. We went to 2 different dealerships across town and everything was all well and good. Then they asked about fees for tax, title and license and a cosigner. They didn't tell us this on the phone when we talked to them. They told us that we didn't have to put any money down or anything and we would drive off in a new car the same day. My mother and I was severely disappointed because that was a total waste of time, gas and money traveling all the way across town from where we live on what it appeared to be a false promise! I had to miss work because of this! Also we tried to get our applications back since it has our social security numbers and they said they have to keep them. Excuse my French, but I don't know who in the hell these people think they are, putting advertising on t.v. that's not legitimate and getting people's hopes up and crashing on them like bricks! It's completely sad because people who have fallen on hard times try to find some type of solution to their problems and you have these scam artists out here getting their rocks off by taking advantage of these poor people. This company needs to be reported to the BBB for false advertising and needs to be shut down immediately!! Also my mother will be contacting a lawyer on this issue and whoever else got scammed by this "finance company" should file a report and contact a lawyer because this is very wrong and it reeks of unprofessional ethics. Also the finance companies we dealt with are Apple Motor Co. and USA Motors in Houston, Texas

I'm so entitled?? Welfare?? Excuse me pal, but who are you to judge? This wasn't about be entitled to something. I admit me and my mother fell for something that seemed too good to be true, but that does not excuse what these people have done and I'm not the only person who thinks so. Like I stated in my report, people who fallen on hard times will try anything to find a solution to their problems, especially with their credit. People may have student loans and credit card bills that may take years to pay off as well as pay bills for their household and try to keep their heads above water in this recovering economy.

Oh You're So Entitled!

Any finance company has the right to set the standards to weed out those who are too risky.  YOU made YOURSELF a credit risk by YOUR developed reputation of NOT paying YOUR bills on time.  Get rid of the typical welfare type entitlement mentality.
