My husband purchased a Yamaha R1 motorycle back in 2007 and purchased a 5year service warranty with the vehicle.  As informed and stated on the contract, we can cancel at anytime and get a refund as long as the warrantly is still valid.  6 months ago, he decides he no longer wishes to keep the warranty and decided to call Freddy's to inform them. 

After 3 months of constant phone calls, Jeff the manager (if that is his real name) decides to get off his rear end and decides to take our phone call only to tell us "oh you must put it in writing" ... Anyone calling this place would know what I am referring to ... the countless amount of excuses these people use is ridiculous "they are not here, he's on vacation, out of the office, not at his desk, in a meeting, on the other line, helping a customer, on lunch, not in today, not in for the rest of the week, he's off on Mondays and Tuesdays, oh he switched his days off to Thurs & Fri ... it gets better each time since another lie will have to be fabricated to cover the current lie ... plus they do not believe in returning phone calls.

So we had enough of the BS and went into the place, to find it is empty with no customers and everyone sitting on their rear ends reading the newspapers, eating donuts, drinking coffee and discussing how they manage to pull a fast one on the poor customer who bought so and so.  The manager is extremely rude, when we asked what's up with cancelling our warranty.  Jeff (if that is his name) said "Listen, I don't want to see you as much as you don't want to see me" ... nice and courteous customer service wouldn't you say?  Then off the top of his head he already knew how much we are to receive, and says that papers have been processed over 60days and now is waiting on Freddy (Fred Ippolito) the owner to authorize the return, because all of a sudden he no longer has the authority to execute.  And that Freddy is not in today because he is away at a meeting ... Of course we did not believe our papers were processed and callled their finance department, of which they said, "no, your name has never come across my desk to have the refund generated"  - lies lies lies upon lies!!!

Some friends of ours who went through the same ordeal, went in and acted like a fool ranting and raving to get back their money.  We don't want to do that, but it looks like we will have to.  We are not talking about $10,000 we are talking about $1000 and Freddy cannot refund this to us.  I can only imagine how this d**n company deceives others ... this company should just burn to the ground!!!

Helen,
My boyfriend and I are experiencing a very similar situation. And would very much like to publicly humiliate them.  Everyone in the State of New York should be aware of their unethical and fraudulent business practices.  They should NOT be allowed the privilege of doing business in NY and should be shut down immediately! How do I get in touch with you?

Having issues

I'm also having some serious issues with this guy.  He refuses to cancel a deal where the credit card application was falsified; i.e. he had one of his employees fill in a second application and then had me sign it as if it were my own.  Additionally, the model number on the invoice and sales slip are discrepant. 

I'm trying to resolve the issue directly with the owner, Fred Ipollito (?) outside of court like a gentleman, however he's been ignoring my calls and messages all weekend.  I could use any and all help available (more lawyers, contacts, etc...).

I have been fighting with CRAZY FREDDY MOTORSPORT in Massapequa for about 3 months now. I brought my Jetski in for service due to it not starting up. When they finally got around to looking at it, they called me up and said that I sunk the ski (it is filled with sea water) and Kawasaki will not be covering any repairs. This ski was not sunk. The battery has been slowly dying and needing to be recharged constantly. The last time I had it in the bay the engine would not crank because it did not have enough power from the battery, therefore filled up with water and then became waterlocked. They needed my authorization to continue looking into the problem as I most likely will be held responsible for the entire bill. After speaking to Kawasaki and telling them what happened (battery died engine filled with water after trying to start it multiple times in the water) they said i would need to give the shop authorization to look at it to find out what's wrong. At that time if there is a defect kawasaki will pay the bill, if there is not I will be responsible for the entire bill. I waited and contacted my insurance company (if the ski is filled with water they will cover it! no problem.) After about 3 days a guy named ROB called me from the service dept, said Kawasaki has given them authorization to continue with the "DIAGNOSTIC" to find out whats wrong with the ski, warranty will cover this. GREAT! I opened a claim at the same time with my insurance company and the adjuster had an appt to go look at the ski so that if kawasaki does not pay, my insurance will. Crazy Freddy calls me up 2 days later and says it's done! it was all labor and the water needed to be sucked out of the engine and oiled down. I said what are you talking about? my insurance adjuster is coming on Monday and I was told by Rob that Kawasaki will be paying for the diagnostics which never happened. I was told by PETER and MAX in the service dept that ROB is no longer working there and I will have to pay for the entire bill, if I have insurance they will reimburse me. I called my insurance adjuster who was in complete shock that even though he had an appt to go look at the vehicle, they went ahead and completed the job. My adjuster then told me the insurance will not be able to pay out ANY money because he was not able to look at it. I asked him to call Crazy Freddy and straighten it out with them because this is not fair, I pay for the insurance to not be able to use it? He called the shop and they tell him Rob doesnt work there anymore and theres nothing they can do. The adjuster then made a deal with them, instead of my bill being 1,020.00 they lowered it to 957.00. This was not good enough as my deductible is only 560.00. I walked into the shop and told MAX that I will only be paying the deductible which is what i'm responsible for. MAX then told me to call TWO lawyers because they will not help me. I ended up walking in there 2 days later and paying the entire balance to get my ski out of the shop. When I got there they said ok you HAVE to pay in cash. CASH? I've ALWAYS paid with credit card, but due to the whole problem we had they will only take cash. I PAID THEM the entire balance in CASH, otherwise they would have started to charge me storage and I didn't want my property at crazy freddy for 1 more day. I took it right out to the bay only to find the ORIGINAL PROBLEM of the battery dying still exists. There is a short somewhere and the battery will not hold its charge. I had to bring it right back to crazy freddy (this was 1 week ago). I have been calling every day to get the ski back in working condition but they keep telling me its being tested in the bay (EVERY DAY!?). I walked in there only to find MAX (who was in the bay testing 5 minutes earlier) sitting on his little bench behind the counter in the service dept. I am going to take them to small claims court as soon as I get my ski back to sue for the entire balance I paid in CASH. I'm also willing to get a large group of people to picket outside their store for weeks at a time, because it doesn't seem like they care about customer service or their business. I am furious this is still not resolved and I see there are many other experiencing the same situation.
