In November, on Thanksgiving Day, my CreditOne credit card was used in New Jersey and California while I was eating Thanksgiving dinner with family & friends in Florida.  I, then, transferred the balance of the card to Chase Bank's Slate Visa Credit Card.

That balance has already shown up on my new, Chase Slate credit card.  Credit One is trying to tell me the balance has not been taken off yet, even though it has shown up on the other card.  They also tacked on another $25.00 to the card in hopes I would again pay their fee.  This company is a fraud and a scam artist.  This company needs to be shut down from the reviews I saw on them.

Thank you,

Concerned Citizen

More Whining!

AUTHOR: Momo - (United States)

POSTED: Friday, February 14, 2020

No credit card will remove a balance unless and until they get paid for the balance which has been transferred. Just because it is posted to the other account DOES NOT MEAN they have been paid. No credit card is ever going to close an account which has a balance!

I mean, that should be obvious! The complaints you see? They are from deadbeats who don't pay their bills on time and then cry, whine, stomp their feet because they just can't stand the consequences THEY brought upon themselves. That is also VERY OBVIOUS!

Now's the time to write back something stupid like "you must work for them!"

You can't be this clueless

It is no wonder you were stuck with a Sub-Prime card because you apparently have no clue how credit works.

In November, on Thanksgiving Day, my CreditOne credit card was used in New Jersey and California while I was eating Thanksgiving dinner with family & friends in Florida. I, then, transferred the balance of the card to Chase Bank's Slate Visa Credit Card.
- You seem to be taking quite a liberty in the timeline by infering that these happened near the same time. However, according to your Screen Shots this transfer wasn't requested until February which is about 2 1/2 months AFTER Thanksgiving.

According to YOUR screenshots, the Chase Transfer was requested/processed on 2/13. That is 2 days AFTER your payment was due on your CreditOne account. So of course if you failed to make the payment you are going to get charged a late fee.

In fact if you read the Chase site they specifically tell you to continue to make your payments on the other account until the transfer is processed, which according to Chase can take up to 21 days. So any late fee you received is 100% on you.

This is not including the additional 2-3 BUSINESS days it could take for the actual transfer to post to your CreditOne account.  Meaning that with the Weekend and Holiday, if Chase in fact did process it on 2/13, it won't even show up on that account until Tue. or Wed. So of course if you go online less than 24 hours later the likelyhood if it showing up is about zero.

Oh and the final part to this...you "transfered" only $179 with a Statement balance of $198 and then an additional almost $6 purchase.  Meaning that even after this transfer does go through, you still have a balance to pay off.
