If you ever need to book a flight to Eastern Europe, do NOT use Croatia Travel Agency. My 5 friends and I booked a 2-week vacation on the Adriatic Coast, and right off the bat, it took at least 5 phone calls over the course of a week to get the travel agency to send us the confirmation of our booking and our airline tickets. Our booking agent was NOT customer service oriented -- she refused to come to the phone whenever we called to follow up, and she never called us back. We finally got in touch with a manager, and even he refused to help us because he wasn't the one "making the deal." He told us he'd advise our booking agent to send us our confirmation ASAP, and even then, we didn't get it until late the next day.
 
And then came Hurricane Irene while we were in Europe. We'd read about the storm but figured everything was fine with our travels because we never got a call or an email. I got suspicious, so I went directly to the airline's website, and they said our flight was cancelled. We all checked our emails once more to make sure we hadn't gotten any notification from Croatia Travel Agency. It turns out they sent an updated itinerary to only one person in our group of 6, and it was to the one person who wasn't flying back on the same date as the rest of us, the one person who wasn't affected by the updated flight schedule (he was flying out a week after the rest of us. He figured the storm would pass by the time his return flight came around, so he hadnt bothered checking for updated flight info). They had given us a completely new flight 2 days after our original flight without asking or anything. Just an updated itinerary without even an explanation in the email.
 
Now, I completely understand that weather can't be controlled. But I would expect at the very least a phone call to make sure a flight 2 days out would be acceptable. It is not okay to email one person out of 6. And since they're the ones booking the flights, they had to know they were emailing the one person that wasn't affected by the change in flights.
