The 'Crossroads' / 'Pipeline Productions' is the stereo-typical place that "used to be cool" a couple of years ago, but no longer is now.

Facing a $30 cover charge to see last decade's bands, the owner himself stepped in to back up his minions after they decided to kick me out because I wasn't "wearing a bracelet", which the Croddroads volunteer 'employees' failed to give me when I showed my ticket upon entering. When I showed the owner that I had a ticket giving me the absolute right to be there, he couldn't handle that his employees were acting inappropiately and instead of being rational and letting me stay with an apology from his employees' for their rude behavior, decided to back up his employees' decision to kick me out--even though his employees let me in with the same ticket earlier. I still had the ticket and the stub alone was worth admission, to 'reward' the attendees of the concert two days earlier with 'free admission'. The owner wouldn't even let me use the valid ticket because of his super-inflated ego being way out of check!! (Guess its really hard to be fair to a customer after employees' misactions) After I was told the ticket wasn't good for admission, (but it actually was) I gave it to a woman sitting outside who went in immediately with the exact same ticket they said wasn't good to let me stay inside the Crossroads venue. The owner is "full of himself" and acts like he is better than his customers and will equally back-up disrespecting any customer his employees pick on first, without really knowing or caring what really happened. Yes, this venue has interesting shows, but don't expect to be treated with any respect whatsoever just because you have a valid ticket, even if you involve the owner!! I asked the owner why I was being kicked out and he had no actual answer at all, except to act like a total jerk & insist I leave even though I had irrefutable proof of guaranteed admittance--the same ticket that allowed a stranger to walk in with it after I was forced to leave and gave the same exact ticket to her!!!

I told the owner I was going to write how he treated me on the internet when I got home and he sarcasticly said 'go ahead A**hole. Anyone wanting to have a good time without being hassled by the mentally challenged owner and his minions should avoid this place like the plauge!!

Talk about a rip-off with an unfair non-'hearing' with the owner! These guys can't wait to screw over the first person they don't like--even when there is no actual reason! And this is not the first horror story I've heard from here. Now I know the truth--they really are as bad as their reputation. The stories of abuse at the Crossroads are true, now I know from experience.

Take my advice and avoid Kansas City's worst new downtown venue!!

The guy who calls himself the owner and his idiotic employees are as lame as it can get, trying to blame their mistakes on their own bartender's supposed 'over-pouring' when I had one drink!!?? I am not drunk, though the owner tried to blame his employees' behavior on my supposed excessive drinking and I just came from there right now. Give me a F&^&ing break!!

Crossroads owner & your employees--why don't y'all give everyone a break and quit acting like this is such a great venue that would never abuse the patrons. I witnessed a sexual assault 2 days ago there, that no security interferred at all as the woman was sexually assulted and now I was kicked out with no explaination tonight, even with my ticket in hand!!

Take my advice, if you get screwed here, just leave before they try to 'punish you' after they ask what's going wrong in their establishment. Telling them what happened there only draws undeserved wrath!!

The owner dared me about an hour and a half ago to write my experience up on the internet, as if I was an idiot who wouldn't do it. When I said I would do it if I was kicked out without any explaination, I was kicked out--by the owner himself!!

Concert goers--you've been warned. These people may have USED TO be cool...but have sold out to complete stupidity. Stay away from this venue at all costs!! If the employees abuse you, don't ask for the owner, as he will always back up his employees, no matter what the evidence pointing out your innocence!! Go directly to the cops, if you have a real complaint and need immediate action on it at the Crossroads KC venue!!!

He did not need to give you a reason. The venue is private and the owner can remove anyone he sees fit.

Being as you were in there for free, there was no refund to give you.
