Safety Trainer in Riverside, CA at CRST Expedited $44,000 annual What a joke in regard to salary....what the heck was I thinking. Wasted Nine Months of my Life at Riverside Terminal as a Safety Trainer...being harassed, bullied and racially discriminated against...all while giving 110 percent to the DL170 student drivers and drivers overall. I will not count the handfull of drivers who was motivated to do wrong and become racist, by being led by Debora Martin. She is a wicked person who tries to influence people. She is good at her evilness, jelous hearted weak individual that she is. However, she has no power at CRST so be vigilant against her and trust nothing that she does or says she has done.

She is a liar and very untrust worthy. Listen...people! Doctor Benjamin Carson stated that life is like the alphabet. You have "K", which stands for KNOWLEDGE. Once you have the knowledge, then no one...not even Debora Martin's jelousy can take away my KNOWLEDGE. I will not apologize for my ability. However, if you Debora do not live up to my ability, which frighten you....then so be it...! Glad you are still there working within THE worse trucking company in a number of catergories! Keep up the good work...they need a lead clown for that circus. There are no Pros with this company. Do NOT even bother stopping in OR calling! PERIOD!

This one Safety Trainer Debora would treat the DRIVERS like children and made statements like...THEY AND THEM AND THOSE DRIVERS ARE.... You complete the sentence.... I thought that was callous and rude and uncalled for...as I AM A DRIVER FIRST....and I remember when I was new as well in the transportation field and needed guidance and structure from good leaders, managers and support staff. NOT FROM CLOWNS AND STAFF WITH NO PROFESIONAL DECORUM. Where I would often teach the orientation class and explain that everything we start in life has a learning curve...and if YOU needed HELP.... like I once did...then CALL ME...ANYTIME...and I gave out my CELL NUMBER to the new drivers and DL170 student drivers....

TOLD YOU ALL CALL ME....I WOULD HELP YOU! One lady in the safety office...hated me for that and how I gave YOU ALL MY BEST! Well....that one person that still sits in the corner of the RIVERSIDE terminal that attacked me for no reason...did not feel that way about you...US THE DRIVER....! She felt superior....and made reference of that fact...! Often...stating....MOST WILL NOT MAKE IT ONE DAY...SO WHY WASTE OUR TIME! That to me was CRAZY....as I was willing to HELP...and WASTE MY TIME....to make sure YOU ALL WERE.... PERFECT! LEAVE....AS SOON AS YOU CAN...AND DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO BECOME A PART OF CRST! Call me and I will direct you to several other driver recruiters for several other companies that I network with...they would love to have you!

The first would the safety trainer! Second would be the terminal manager...and third...would be the hard of hearing guy! Then in reality it would be any person that could really make a change at CRST and just will not DO IT! Afraid of what? The pay was so small...horrendous...SAFETY TRAINERS MAKE ONLY $45,000 A YEAR! I took a pay cut to join that miserable team of imbeciles. I worked with a person in the Safety and Training Department that had no business being in a transportation safety office. This person clearly has mental issues. She would often interrupted my classes taking away the PERFECT environment to learn and move towards the ultimate goal of Safety and career goal as a driver.

With my years of experience and ability to really communicate with the employees, drivers like myself, but from a Safety and Training standpoint made one individual completely mad and perturbed with my ability to teach and train. Which made work horrible and unwelcomed on a daily basis. Yet, I still performed for US the DRIVERS...which I always indicated...I WAS FIRST and ALWAYS WILL BE! A driver. Where you all end up as drivers or management....REMEMBER my MOTTO! BE PERFECT, PERFECT RIGHT TURNS, PERFECT BACKING....BE PERFECT. I have no advice to management! The best advice to give is often to defer from giving any advice. STUPID, STUPID, STUPID! Keep up the good work! Wasted (9) nine months of my life there!

I am a very strong, confident transportation offical. I have worked hard to get to where I am both professionally and personally. I do not doubt myself.  Alvin knows that I was the best he ever worked with...HE KNOWS EVEN MORE NOW!  I am real...I know what and how to make things move.  I was taught by the VERY BEST in the industry.  

I was vetted to work for CRST and did not ever meet my coworker until my very first day.  The coworker Debbie Martin is very insecure, controlling, and does not like to work with someone that was clearly GREAT at doing such a simple job, a job that was about 10 steps below where I am proffessionally in transportation. She very much enjoys being a total a*****; however, what I also discovered is she does not know anything about safety or training in the transportation field.  She has no prior experience in any area at all and often gave incorrect information and or did not care at all to find out the correct information for the drivers, which creates a lot of work for others.

My first experience with Debbie Martin-Armstrongs bipolar personality showed up the first day I went to work. She decided to question me when alone with me in regard to my transportation background.  Where did you work, what titles did you have, what college did you attend, how much money are they paying you, do you know how to drive a truck, have you worked in safety before.  Debbie then claimed to be the second in charge and sort of like the Assistant Terminal Manager to Alvin Hoggard.  I thought...to myself.  Then why in the hell did I not meet with you when interviewing for this position for well over a month.  During my first work week she began to stalk me on the internet, call some of my prior companies and asking them questions like,  "what I was doing or what was so and so doing for your company."  I found this behavior very odd and blocked her from all of my internet social media sites the very first week I worked for CRST.

I will only write a few issues from here:  They are all in order, but all issues not listed.  SOME OF YOU WILL BE WITNESS TO THESE SITUATIONS THAT OCCURED OFTEN IN FRONT OF SEVERAL DRIVERS, DL170 STUDENT DRIVERS. 

One Friday afternoon while she, I and a coworker were sitting in the main safety office. All of a sudden, she starts yelling, "Why do you treat me like this. I am not stupid. You all just ignore me like I'm not here, etc." I got scared and didn't know what to say. My coworker Dan acted like nothing had happened. The only thing I thought to do was to say to her, "calm down." She threw her keys at me then began throwing paper and her work things on the floor. I then left the room because it upset me so. Later when she discussed it with me, she laughed and said to me, "nothing ever bothers you." I could not believe my ears!  I then knew she has a mental issue and reported this to Human Resources.

I went to Alvin Hoggard and explained the situation stating to him that I was not talking to her directly and that; I simply needed some advise. I described the Friday outburst by stating this was the fith or sixth time she had erupted like this and I wanted to know what to do. Unfortunately, all Alvin did was listen and said he really did not know why she did that nor what I could do other than to suggest that he would talk to her and ask that she leave me alone.  He said that he had noticed how insecure she was, but he was also confused as to why she continued to be his weakest  trainer (employee) since she had been with CRST  for over a year. I had only been there at that time less than 2.5 months and was clearly his strongest employee ever.  Alvin Hoggards exact words.  All captured on my TIE PIN video recorder.  

There have been more incidents like this. I will not bore you guys with the details.

I'm really at a loss here. I have never run across an adult who acts like this in the workplace. I have encountered these people socially, but once I find them out, I try not to associate with them again. CRST has a very huge problem with Debbie Martin working within their company.  I suggest that all drives and DL170 students take the time to let as many people in Cedar Rapids know what is going on if you find yourself dealing with Debbie Martin-Armstrong and the latter part is you are not getting anywhere do to her behavior.  She is Racist, She does not like people that she feel are homeless and have less than she has.  She is a control freak and will keep you running around in circles for your EMPLOYEE ID CARD.  She will hold up the road test for drivers that are experienced by holding your driver license on the first day.  Stay vigilant with her and document everything that she does and report it to officials. 

I realized after six months of working at CRST Riverside Terminal that the behavior exhibited by Debbie Martin-Armstrong the Safety Trainer is very purposeful. In my case, the person was below my proffesional standards, training and decorum. I did not know of her existence before being hired by CRST and did not have a hint that she would be so difficult and inmature when I met her on the first day of arriving at CRST. After her informal and illegal racist interogation of me on my first few days of work, she started behaving in ways -- like a 5 year old. The purpose of bullying is to cause psychological harm in someone who threatens the bully. Because the bully is emotionally immature, the behavior appears justified to that individual, Debbie Martin-Armstrong. Five-year-olds grab toys, have temper tantrums, shout "no" and fold their arms in front of their chests, throw keys at people, and dump paper work on the floor.  Isn't it shocking to see those behaviors in an adult, such as Debora Martin the CRST Riverside Trainer?

Workplace bullying can only be stopped when people recognize it and have the guts to do something about it.

You people do not have to work with Debbie Martin.  You drivers and DL170 students from the past and currently working for CRST can demand that she be removed.

To me Debbie Marting....MRS. MARTIN.... behaves as if she has been raised by wolves, with no courtesy or politeness or manners that are expected from polite society.
