 I have successfully taken three Cruises with CruiseMiles.com.  My fourth CMs cruise was booked for an Alaskan cruise on the Carnival Miracle leaving Seattle, WA on September 10, 2013.  In the past a "roll call" is held approximately 90 days prior to departure to finalize the members who will be sailing and shortly before sailing a booking confirmation from the Cruiseline is sent by e-mail.

I am now less than two week before the sail date and I have received no information on the status of my cruise.  I have been on the web site looking for confirmation of the roll call and just recently noticed in the forum section that the roll call was closed.  I sent in a "ticket" and was told the reservations were now handled in India and was given that e-mail address.  I e-mailed the address and received a reply that I should look for a reply in three wotking days.  It has now been a week and I have received no reply.

Separate from this correspondence, I received an e-mail that provided a lengthy discussion of problems CMs has had.  This e-mail may not have been sent to all members as my daughter did not receive it.  I suspect that it went only to people who were booked on cruises in order not to hurt the effort of the site to sell more cruise miles at auction. 

I also purchased miles at auction that I decided to cancel and request a refund becasue I won a later auction at a much better price per mile.  This option was indicated on the payment form.  I submitted a ticket and corresponded multiple times without satisfaction.  I eventually disputed the charge with my credit card company.  The credit card company is ready to provide relief if other charges are not valid.

There are certainly red flags for the future of CMs.  I have two other cruises schedule for February and March of 2014.  I will be in Florida and won't need the schedule travel.  My fingers are crossed but I don't think the chances are very good that the cruises will happen.  I would like to encourage others to come forward and post their experiences.  Perhaps my post will warn others of the risk!

I took this off the website of complaints against CRUISEMILES as I have lost over $3000-00 on this CRUISEMILES SCHEME and I am alarmed at being RIPPED OFF.

Well Ron I think you got out just in time.Auctions are running while most of us can't even log in,but hey a normal day with Richard I guess.Now with no money and total apps and david wylie missing I'm going to go on a limb and spew a bit of rubbish for ya...next we will get news that the site is ok,then bad news apps money locked so no money for the next few months to pay for cruises in july,aug,sept,oct,nov need to be cancelled while the transfer is done right...

but GOOD NEWS a new buyer with millions just no address or name,kind of a fictional character like Melissa gold or Darren may.could be another partner also but by name only.then we will have to wait but we will be able to buy miles of course and it will be looking brighter until he comes in and locks this Ponzi for good or starts it over....can't see a sane businessman getting involved in a business owing 100's of cruises and the reputation of a BS toad with 87 complaints on pc site also that can't pay for 1 employee,but some will come to his defense and say he's generous and all is good and it was only a 2 off and then a 3 off thing...

please email the Essex police.i will even bring the paperwork myself..and martin is still working on getting you in a nice cozy humid jail cell lord lester....lord foolies is the nextproject.....please give us a break

Carnival Miracle Sept. 10th

I was also supposed to sail on the Carnival Miracle Sept. 10th, 2013 cruise to Alaska booked through CruiseMiles.  You missed the roll call because contrary to their policy stating that an e-mail will be sent to notify customers of roll calls instead it was posted on the forum with simply a 24 hour window to respond.  You missing the roll call probably did not cause you to not get a booking number though.  My son and I both completed roll call and still did not get booking numbers.

I have also had 2 cruises from CruiseMiles that were wonderful.  This fiasco makes me 0/2 on cruises through them this year.  The July cruise was SSDD as I'm running into with this one.  The miles, which have devalued to the point were they are practically worthless, have been refunded to my account without an explanation.  My many, many inquires have gone unanswered.  I am using the formstack form you can find in the forum under the "Help is here" category and emailing Richard himself: richard@cruisemiles.com. and have gotten not a single response. 

I have never been treated so poorly by any company that I have done business with, it is very disheartening.

I guess when something appears too good to be, it really, truly is.
