CrusesOnly Cruses Only is deceptive and a RIPOFF Internet
Cruses Only utilized Deceptive Trade Practices to elicit my monies for a Cruise booked OCT 27,2013 for Carnival Magic out of Galveston TX.
They offered 300 onboard credit, then a category upgrade of up to 7 places was offered to solicit my booking through them. That disappears when you book!!! I was given neither, and when I noticed that online with Carnival and I called Carnival to confirm I did not receive promised upgrade or ship credits. I then called CRUSES ONLY to report what I thought was an oversight!! The 1st lady said you had to call in and BOOK for that deal... which I respond then why was it on there enticing me to book, but did not say MUST CALL TO RECEIVE??
She said I would have had to use the links to know that...1st red flag!!! She went on to say I wasn't eligible!!! Didn't know I had to be Eligible...said nothing like that near the area for my credit card informataion of BEFORE. [continued below]....
I asked to speak with a Supervisor after the first girl she said no that was incorrect, my booking wasn't in the promotion at all. I explained that I felt deceived by her company and that I used the link you sent me and booked an 8A balcony through your company??? She said well it didn't qualify you. This was never disclosed but I ASKED ....a balcony???...that isn't included in the promotion you offered before you took my money?? Wouldn't that have been the time to tell me????
I booked an 8A so that I could be moved up by CRUISES ONLY as promised, up to 7 levels I could possibly move to a stateroom...I thought!!! What kind of offer is it if you have to book a room at the top to qualify???...... and the top ...where do you go, up to 7 levels, from there- HEAVEN??? .....Come on. The supervisor verbaly while on her computer, took me through the various screens, so layered that I, a MASTERS PREPARED NURSE, who teaches online, who took many online courses coming up, could not make my way through alone!!! Here she showed me the disclaimer!!!
THE DECEPTION IS HIDDEN ON PURPOSE ----HENCE DECEPTION!!
Ultimately, there were disclaimers!! Not visable to the average or superior computer user, unless they went looking real hard, then called the company to have assistance and had the time to ask for a supervisor to fumble her way to it and show you , to find . It was comical at times as the supervisor was lost in the maze periodically. I asked for a receipt and have not received it, the supervisor said she would call Carnival , and see if an upgrade might be available ...AFTER I asked for CRUISES ONLY corporate address and name of the Regional Manager !! Nothing received to date!!
I will """""""NEVER"""" use this company again. I will book with Carnival Directly.
I am getting ready to embark on my 1st cruise, I am going to a low grade room, spending my own money not the $300 credit promised, and have the most bitter taste in my mouth I have ever experienced !! Bon Voyage!
P.S. the upgrades etc...were standards offered by Carnival not this agency and I would have received some of what promised if I had just been a return customer with Carnival in General.
