I purchased a 2006 Dodge truck on 4-22-13, and requested a car fax report.  I was told by the salesman that their computer system was changed code, and he was not able to give me a car fax.  However, he told me as soon as the system came back up, he would provide a car fax report.  That never happened!  I had never received a car fax report from the dealership as of this date.

There were drivability issues with the vehicle from the onset.  First, the brake light and emergency brake light were illuminating on the dash cluster the next day, after I left the dealership. Secondly, the engine would not idle properly, the engine would idle at 500 rpm then would raise to 1200 rpm, then back to 500 rpm, then up to 1400 rpm and so-on, all on its own.  I called the salesman who made an appointment with the service department.  I brought the vehicle back numerous times.  The dealership had the vehicle for one complete day, then again, had the vehicle for two complete days, and again for four complete days.  Each time I got the truck back, the condition was still there.  The salesman told me they could not find anything wrong with the idle.  I found out on my own that it is called " Engine Surge ".  I still have the same condition today as I write this letter.  Third,  there is a vibration through the truck at high speed (50 to 60mph) where the service manager told me it was tire related, and had balanced the tires.  I still have the same condition today!

After numerous appointments to the dealership, and not getting anywhere, I wrote to the head of operations of the dealership.  He did not answer any communications!  I took the truck to be detailed.  When I returned to pick the truck up, the detailer told me that there were body parts replaced, and noted paint over-spray was noted all around the vehicle.  Frustration set in, and I decided to acquire my own car fax report, just to see for myself.  It turns out that this vehicle had Three (3) separate accident reports listed.  One was severe enough, where this vehicle hit a utility pole, then hit a concrete barrier, totally disabiling the vehicle, and was towed away.  Also listed, were parts that needed to be replaced, such as Front Bumper, Right Front Fender and head light assembly, Right Front Door.

Nobody said anything about any accidents when I bought this vehicle!  Not one, but three adccidents! Two to the front of the vehicle, and another to the right rear of the vehicle.  I confronted the salesman with this information, where a meeting was arrainged with the salesman and the manager.  The manager stated, that he knew of the accidents, and did not tell me because, " The Frame Was Straight! "  I requested that they take the truck back, and replace it with another truck that had no accidents and a clear car fax report.  The salesman and manager agreed!  The manager said to the salesman that they had a 2008 Toyota just come in, and asked if I wanted to look at it.  I agreed!  The salesman had a clear car fax report in the Toyota truck.  Took it for a ride, I agreed to the swap.  However, they needed a signiture for finance purposes in the truck swap.  I provided the signiture!

I waited a couple of days only to find out through the mail, that I was receiving credit denials from not only my credit union, but two other credit unions in the amount of $ 26,982., way above my credit obligation of $20,000. for the Dodge Truck.  Without any discussion, negotiations or our permission, this dealer tried to push us into a deal by requesting credit using my credit information and my wifes' information, separately and collectively, without any discussion what-so-ever.   I have my own credit union!  I found out that they told the dealer that they will only give 60 months on a used vehicle, so the dealer went behind our back and tried to push this deal through any way they could.
