We were contacted by Ctrip after a salesman at Pueblo Bonito Sunset, Fred Magid, gave our information to them. They offered to buy our timeshare in Cabo San Lucas (Grand Solmar Lands End) to be accessed by their international clients.  They made us a reasonable offer, not outrageous and we were then contacted by Avery at Sanders Law Group. Arrangements were made to wire a transfer fee $4949 USD (which we checked out at the resort as legit).

The wire instructions were sent to us by Guillero Estrata, who is in fact an employee at Pueblo Bonito, but is apparently being impersonated. The wire went through and Sanders Law Group informed us that two wires had been sent to us to settle the transaction: one for the agreed price of the sale, the second to cover "Capital Gains" charged by the Mexican Government.  We were unaware that this would be charged to us. The wire transfer they sent to us was said to be held up by SAT (taxation Admin in Mex) and held at Metropolitain International Bank in New York.

We were contacted by phone by Samantha Cross from the bank stating that the money was there in our name and would be directly released after the taxes were paid. We immediately got a threatening email on very Offical looking letter head from Ricardo Beltran, Dept SAT, (866)-657-5879 Ext 265 stating we owes taxes of $6827.00 USD to be paid within 72 hours or a lot of bad legal things would happen including imprisonment if we every return to Mexico.  We dug deeper not wanting to send Capital Gains $ to Mexico having never received our original compensation. We started calling everyone involved but soon our calls were not accepted and we can now not get a hold of them at all.  BEWARE - THIS IS A SCAM.

We have received a call from Craig Allaen Sanders, the lawyer at the fraudulent website and whose company is supposedly used by CTRIP. He actually exists and is NOT INVOVLED in the scam. The address and phone number on the web site are incorrect. All the employees at Sanders Law Group do not work for this lawyer.
