Cup & Saucer Bagel Shop Most Miserable Workers I've Ever Seen and Rip-off Artists!!! Lake Worth, Florida

I used to think this "Cup & Saucer" joint had a great gimmick going: a potentially cozy, convenient little bagel shop that (you would expect) to be friendly.  My four friends and I opened the door and entered the restaurant at 1:13 p.m. on Sunday, October 31st.  As we entered the foyer, we noticed a sign that said "Wait to be seated!" with an exclamation mark at the end of it.  Seconds after we walked in the door, the music in the restaurant stopped, and every single employee stopped and looked toward us.  The cook near the counter immediately yelled "Son of a...!", heaved his dish rag against the wall, and stormed to the back of the room.  After about 15 minutes of waiting for someone to greet us, a miserable old lady came up and said "How many?!", with a horrible attitude.  We said "five please", and she just pointed to a table far in the back of the restaurant.  She then ripped five menus out of the menu-holder and briskly walked back to where she was seating us and slammed them on the counter, causing some of the condiments to knock over and falling on the floor.  After about another 20 minutes of waiting for someone to greet us, a waitress yelled from about 40 feet across the dining room. "WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DRINK?!"  Each of us said what we wanted, and she disappeared to a back room.  We then could hear her complaining to someone, saying "these idiots walk in here 45 minutes before we close and they expect to get WATERS with their coffees?!  No way!  I'm not doing it!"  She then came out carrying our drinks with no waters accompanying them.  After she dropped the drinks off, she then yelled at yet another miserable server and said "YOU take their order, I'm done!"  Realizing that she got every single drink order incorrect, I began to tell her what we ordered.  She immediately cut me off and said "ask HER!", pointing to the other lady.  The other lady came up and simply said "What do you want?"  We just gave our food orders just to get things moving and she stormed away, pushing and shoving chairs and various objects along the way.  As we're waiting for our food, we hear a large commotion coming from the back room, as an argument began.  We then heard a huge "SMASH!" as glass was shattered all over the place and a woman began screaming and crying.  She came out of the back of the back room clutching the top of her head while blood oozed down her face!  I noticed as she was walking toward our table, another lady came out holding the remainder of a broken coffee pot.  "It's YOUR table!", she screamed, as she held up the coffee pot handle as if to threaten her that she'll smash yet another pot over her already bleeding head.  The woman who now was bleeding profusely stood over our table as she called out "Who had (this)?  Who had (that)?" She passed out our food, slamming it on the table so hard, it was to the point a few of the plates cracked.

We had each asked for a refill of our beverages, being that the cups were so small, and filled with nothing but pure ice.  Alas, on my second refill request, the lady who smashed the coffee pot over the other lady's head stopped dead in her tracks, gave me a nasty 10-second glare, turned beet-red to the point where veins were bulging out of her neck, and stormed over toward the beverage station.  She immediately came back with her hands cupped together holding something as she screamed "YOU WANT MORE PEPSI, HUH?!  IS THAT ENOUGH?!"  She then splashed my face with the Pepsi she was holding in her hands.  She screamed in my face as loud as she could, with veins still bulging out of her neck, "IS THAT ENOUGH?!  YOU LIKE THAT?!  HERE, HAVE MORE!", as she opened a can of Pepsi and was now just pouring it over my head.  When the can finally emptied on my head, she then flung the can behind her, opened yet ANOTHER can of Pepsi and began pouring it on my head again.  Pepsi now was saturated all over my clothes and all throughout the booth that we were sitting in.  Just before she left the table, she turned around and passed gas for over 30 seconds straight directly over our food.  "Take that!", she screamed, as she walked away.We were fed up.  We demanded the check to be brought to the table immediately.  After about 20 minutes of waiting, another miserable woman brought a single sheet of paper with the price on it.  Nothing else.  No description of the bill, no listing, nothing.  Just the price.  "We need seperate checks please", my buddy stated.  The lady then screamed profanity throughout the dining room, as she started pounding her fists over and over and over again on top of the counter until blood was spraying out of her fists!  She then brought seperate slips of blood-stained paper over to us with the shocking price of $27.50 on each slip.  Again, no list of the food or anything we ordered.  Just the price.  We paid and left a 15% gratuity, even though the service was the worst I've ever seen in my life. 

Just as we were exiting, one of the waitresses yelled "Hey scumbags!"  Of course, it caused us all to turn around and see that every single waitress, cook, and busser in the whole restaurant was giving us the middle finger.  None of us could believe what had happened in there.  We all expected some reality TV show to pop out and get our reaction or something, but nothing did of course.  This was, in fact, for real.  No "Halloween spoof" or anything.  Shocked and outraged, we all knew we'd never go back in that place again, and we intend on going to the news with this story.
