I worked for Custis Contracting services approximately 3 weeks ago. I quit due to poor management. I was told I would be paid by check same week on Friday July 17, 2015 and I never receieved a check.
I called to find out where to pick up check and I was told to go to Windsor Heights area, to the Burger King. I went there and no one showed up. I called the owner again and he said "He would mail check on July 22, 2015. I still have no check for the work I performed at his company. I call him and he tells me "I mailed the check. He lives at (((Redacted))) Des Moines, Iowa. His phone number is (((Redacted))).
I don't think he has any intention on paying for the work I performed. This has cost me time to try and get him to pay what he owes me.

It is unfair and unreasonable to continue to have this post listed.
Check out our reviews on HomeAdvisor, BBB, Google, etc. We are well respected in the community. We provide opportunities for men coming out of recovery and the prison system to have gainful employment and help transition in to a more normal life.
This review is from a disgruntled ex-employee who failed to take the next step to recovery.
At some poimt. it is reasonable for this report to be removed.

Mr. Pardekoopers report is absolutely untrue.
The man failed to show up 3 Fridays in a row to pick up his paycheck. He insisted that the check be deliver to him, which we did.
Additionally, the man was incapable of cooperating with other employes, incapable of doing the job we had advertised which includes hard physical labor. He finished his 3 day stint with us by starting an argument with a crew leader. Needless to say he was dismissed.
