CVS PHARMACY CVS Pharmacy shorted xanax pills pharmacist stole my medicine tech stole hard to prove Internet

I went to CVS to have my Xanax refilled. I take 1mg in the morning and 1 mg in the evening as prescribed by my doctor. The medicine was refilled on a Saturday and I went in to pick it up on the following Monday. When I got home, I went to put the medicine in my pill box it is for a month supply (30 days). I got to the last day and did not have the last two pills. Instead of having a 30 day supply totaling 60 pills, I only had 58. Yes, I counted over and over and still came to 58.

Now, I called the pharmacy right away and spoke with the pharmacist. I informed her of this and I must say that she was very brief and to the point with me. I understand that this place gets crazy busy and sometimes the person behind the counter is doing so much at one time. So she told me that she would check her counts and call me back. I appreciated that and I thought to myself that it is very possible that they are very busy and that was why she was short with me. She called back about an hour and 45 minutes later and told me that her counts were correct. I did not pursue the matter any further. I did tell her that this was a first and asked her what I could do to prevent this from ever happening again. I inquired if they would re-count them in front of me when I come to pick them up again and she said that they could not do that but that I could count them myself there at the counter. I was confused and thinkinghow could I count them if there is a line or not enough room at the counter, etc. I asked her how would I count them at the counter. She replied that I could count them into my hand. Seriously. So, knowing there was nothing I could do (Ive read quite a bit about these scenarios on different sites) and that it is her word against mineI thanked her for counting her supply and wished her a good day.

Now, I will have to go one day without my medicine. I can do that. I do not want to do that, but I will have to. My question is this: Where are those two pills that were not in my bottle? I live alone. I picked them up from CVS on Monday around 9AM, went home, sat the stapled bag on the counterwashed my hands, then went to set up my month-long pill container. No one was in my kitchen in this little amount of time. While there is no way to prove this being as I do not have counts, I do know that I am right here. I know that I only received 58 instead of 60.

So what am I supposed to do and think? Should I count medicine when I receive it and not worry about what people think? Will that not make a pharmacist or clerk suspicious? Should I trust that this was a one time mistake? Should I go to a different pharmacy? What should I think and do? And furthermore, where are those two pills?
