I am the proud owner of a Lot on Gloucster Dr. located in Cypress Lakes North Subdivision/Campgroud. This road has been maintained by the Cypress Lakes Property Owners Association for over twenty years. This past year however the Association has neglected to maintane the road going to my street, this being the main road in the subdivision. This causes me much grief as I have spent endless hours and thousands of dollars making improvements to the lot.

I can barely drive a vehicle down the road as it is being reclaimed by the forest that surrounds it. It also has large holes which need to be filled with gravel. Cypress Lakes Property Owners Association has seen to it that all the other roads in the subdivision have been maintained but some reason they have neglected to do so on the back side of the subdivision on Cypress Lake circle. I have asked (verbally) the Association maintain the road but to no avail.

I pay my dues regiously and only ask to be privileged to access to my property. When it rains, it takes a month or more for the road to be passable to access my property

New Management - Problems being solved!

AUTHOR: New Management - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 18, 2008

You are absolutely correct about the neglect on the property. It's a beautiful property and no money for maintenance. Roads were overgrown, the lakes were unusable, the clubhouse was closed due to disrepair.

However, now there is new management that is spending a bunch of money to fix the place up. They are cleaning up campgrounds, common areas, the pools, reclaiming the lakes, mowing roads as fast as they can. They've made a deal with the Association and will manage all of this. Give it a little time and I think you'll find a whole new attitude, environment, and more services.

So this is good news for property owners and members. They tell me there will be concerts, events, there's a Thanksgiving dinner planned for next weekend, they've cleaned up the entrance, taking out lots of debris from everywhere, and doing things one at a time to get it enjoyable for us again.

There have been lots of promises made through the years, but no money to back it up. It appears this new group is actually doing what they said.

Let's hope!
