D & T Tree Service Dion Trevino Owes Money for Trailer Rental and Dumping Fees & Expenses Alvin Texas

On September 25, 2013 @ 8am,  Dion Trevino rented a 16' x 7' Steel Trailer, with 4' high solid steel sides, from us for one day at $50/day.  He claimed that his trailer used in his D & T Tree Removal Business was being repaired and he agreed to return our trailer by 8am on September 26, 2013. Per our written agreement, the trailer was to be returned in the same working and clean (i.e., empty) condition as when he took possession of the trailer.  The trailer was not returned to us until 31 days later on October 25, 2013 at 9:25 pm.

It was only after repeated threats to bring in the police to resolve the matter, that Dion Trevino finally returned the trailer and he returned it fully loaded with cut trees. He left it in the dark of night, outside our property gate, in the driveway which is also shared by another business and residence.  We originally tried to help Dion Trevino, by giving him a $10 rate discount (daily rate for this rental is usually $60) because he seemed like a good, hard working man and on first impression he is very amiable and well spoken.

We liked him and were looking forward to more business with him in the future. Little did we know we were dealing with a smooth talking wolf in sheep's clothing. Dion Trevino claimed that one of his customers had written him a bad check and he needed to keep the trailer to do another job so that he could pay us the rental back. We saw his truck at the bank, and were sympathetic and agreed to work with him.   He did pay us an additional $180 over the next two weeks, but after that he stopped responding to our phone calls.  When we then attempted to collect the unpaid rental fees from his VISA credit card that we had as a deposit - it was declined. 

By this time, other people in our community had become aware that Dion Trevino had our trailer and informed us that he was "bad news".  The local dump will not even do business with him anymore.  When we googled him on the internet, we discovered that  there is another nasty complaint of being robbed by Dion Trevino and he also has a lengthy arrest record here in Brazoria County.  We are sharing this information in the hopes that others will not fall prey to Dion Trevino, D & T Tree Service.  Dion Trevino still owes us $1,701 in back rental, dump, cleanup and trailer unloading fees.
