DaCota Monk Dakota Monk Thieving, lying "horse trainer" Tyler, Texas

DaCota Monk and his wife Paula Leeman Monk, dba Diamond DM Performance horses, are aggressively deceptive thieves, cheats and liars. DaCota is only 21, and has already lost 2 lawsuits in Texas and is facing his 3rd one soon.

He and his wife may soon be facing embezzlement charges. They run NBHA district TX #20, and have written personal checks on that account, including but not limited to paying for their wedding one year ago. Paula has refused to make the books public, as she is required to do.

As far as boarding horses, the quality of his caretaking was so poor that he caused thrush so bad in the feet of a popular stud, that he was unable to mount mares. He is recovering after 6 months of damage to his feet.

Another owner recently picked her horse up, after being "trained", only to find it a grade 1.5 on a scale of 1-10 for overall health. This was video-documented by a local vet. The woman gave DaCota a saddle in return for partial board and training. Since the horse was NOT trained for barrel racing as agreed, and was in such poor health, she asked for the saddle back...DaCota claims to have no knowledge of the saddle (or the horse!), but they have been seen publically at many barrel races recently, riding the Bob Marshall saddle in question. Saddle owner will be filing the 3rd lawsuit, and a complaint with the NBHA.

There is currently an outstanding judgement against DaCota for over $9,000. He borrowed the money to partially rebuild an apartment for himself and wife Paula Leeman Monk, then refused to pay it back. In the court process, he signed a document saying he never borrowed the money, although even his parents knew about it. The State of Texas found him to be a liar, and ruled in favor of the plaintiff.

There may be more coming soon. Tax evasion is being looked into, as he has not reported income from his barn or his training clients, including Dennis Mihre from Louisiana.

He hs also drugged lame horses and sold them as sound.

Additionally, eviction papers were recently filed in Lindale, TX by the owner of the barn he rents.
