I received a large envelope with a single piece of paper with instructions to deposit a cashier's check in the amount of $1495.00 and withdraw the funds after a 24 hour period. The person wanted me to conduct two different transactions, one at a Western Union and the other one at a Moneygram.
I thought that this appeared to be a little suspicious on my part. So, i did a little research and found out that it is indeed fraudulent, this is why i am filing this report to protect others from this scam artist.
The name and address on the large envelope was from a totally different location than what appears on the piece of paper with the instructions. It also states once that the tasks are completed to text him only with the number that the he used. The company that is located on the outside of the large envelope appears to be a makeup company located in Houston Texas.
