A friend and I hired Darren Moten Jr. (Jayar Moten) in early January 2015 to create a computer program for us in regards to Daily Fantasy Sports. We put an advertisement on Craigslist for a computer programmer. We received numerous replies, but chose Darren Moten Jr. for a variety of reasons, one being that he was located fairly local and we could meet up for this project as needed. Most of the other replies were from out of state. We spoke a few times on the phone and went over what we needed completed. He wasn't very adept in the area of sports but seemed to understand what we needed on the mathematical side. We agreed to meet at a coffee shop in Brooklyn and talked a little more there. He asked that we give him a check for a third of the project if we were to use him. We agreed and gave him a check for $1,066.00. He stated often during this meeting that we will be in regular contact with him, speaking a few times per week as needed, but that never happened from the get go. We did not hear back from him at all for 3-4 weeks after he got the check. He avoided all of our calls, emails, and texts. I searched for some info to find him and wound up calling his current boss and explaining that he took our money and never did any work for us. His boss put him on the phone and he said that he had phone problems, money problems, all this stuff...but was not going to steal from us. We asked for our down payment of $1,066.00, but he told us he did not have it. We knew we were screwed, so we had to hope at this time he would start the work.

Darren Moten Jr. acted the same way as we started, gave us the run around, said we didn't give him the proper info...so then we gave him more data, everything he needed. Every once in a blue moon we would hear from him and he would come up with some BS about our project...basically always stated that it would be done within a few days....still not done (07/26/2015). We realized a while back that he never had any intention of doing this work...HE JUST NEEDED MONEY AND STOLE $1,066.00 DOLLARS FROM US. We have a contract from him signed, but it would cost more money to fight it and he knows that. Darren Moten Jr. is an incessant liar...definitely not to be trusted. NEVER GIVE HIM MONEY UPFRONT...IN FACT WHETHER YOU ARE AN INDIVIDUAL OR A COMPANY DO NOT HIRE HIM...HE IS A THIEF WHO HAS BEEN IN AND OUT OF JOBS.

Now, 6 months later, Darren Moten Jr. is nowhere to be found. He answers nothing...his current boss and employer, who will remain nameless, has basically told us that there is nothing he can do. It is a startup company and he told us that Darren has problems...the most recent a hospital stay. In my opinion it is all BS... he is a THIEF and we can prove it. We have never received anything from him, including our $1,066.00.

PLEASE NEVER HIRE THIS CROOK! HE ALSO DOES NOT HAVE THE SKILLS THAT HE CLAIMS TO HAVE....VERY BAD INDIVIDUAL....SNAKE....STAY AWAY.

WOULD YOU WANT THIS TYPE OF INDIVIDUAL WORKING FOR YOUR COMPANY OR INDIVIDUAL PROJECT?
