Mayor David Dorman of Melissa, Texas has been involved in corruption in Melissa, Texas hurting many local business owners and landowners.

Melissa, Texas is a small town in north Dallas, Texas area. He is an unpaid mayor and a real estate investor. He is not from Texas but from New York. He makes large contributions and donations to political organizations to obtain his position in the city.

We have a piece of property that we pay commercial property taxes on. Yet, he has refused to issue our company a certificate of occupancy as we do not have a fire hydrant.

The city of melissa, texas annexed our property 28 years ago in 1980. yet, they have not provided any services to our property in 28 years including a fire hydrant. Due to our property not having a fire hydrant, David Dorman and the city of Melissa has denied our ability to work at this property. yet, we must make payments of $4000 per month and they enforce code compliance on us as well. They come by from time to time to harass us to make sure we have not hired any workers. We own a tile and stone company. The company should be able to operate there based on the zoning.

He asked us to do a plat on the property even though he would not tell us what ordinance required it. During a recent meeting at the city municipal building with the city attorney, Richard Abernathy of Mckinney, texas, we asked them what ordinance requires us to do a plat and David Dorman called the police on me to have me removed for asking this question. thus, I made a public request for information which is legal and they refused to answer again referring it to the Attorney General's office for 45 days to see if they need to answer.

David Dorman wants to own this property personally. Last year, the city of Melissa issued $5 million in bonds to build roads in melissa. The city council was against it but David Dorman wanted it. They passed the bond issue only to find out later that the land the roads were going thru David Dorman was silent partners on. Thus, Dorman used his position to make money off the bond issue. This is why he is an "unpaid" mayor. To make corrupt decisions that allow him to profit much like the mafia in New York handling concrete contracts.

We have made our congressmen aware of this mayor as well as the Texas Rangers and District Attorney.
