Lisa Hecht and David S.J. Neufield represented my sister in the case of my mother's small estate. They are litigators. I was represented by an estate attorney. First, Lisa Hecht spent years (three and one half)asking my attorney for information which had already been sent to her over and over again. She also asked the same questions over and over, even though they had been answered several times.

Clearly she was incompetent or trying hard to pad her bills. David S.J. Neufield, of Neufield & O'Leary, finally stepped in, admitting her incompetence to my attorney.

When David Neufield took over, he was worse than she. Clearly, a disturbed man who said one thing one minute and the complete opposite the next, mysteriously added $7,000 to his bill in one month's time. When called on it by my attorney, he offered no explanation and because of the threat of litigation and mounting bills, got away with it.

My mother's life savings of $600,000 - no real estate or anything else to divide, has now taken over four and a half years to finalize. And, it is not even over yet. Neufield & O'Leary earned in excess of $25,000 for doing nothing but padding their bills and attempting to block my attempts at fulfilling my fiduciary responsibility.

All assets were collected by my attorney. All tax forms were submitted by my attorney. Every form which needed to be submitted to the courts was handled by my attorney. Neufield only disturbed the process, never contributed to it.

When lawyers are unscrupulous, there is no where to turn. Even when you write to the NY Bar, your case is reviewed by lawyers. Who holds them accountable? How can they just steal hard earned money and get away with it?
