I contacted Davison Inventegration via internet on 4/28/05 about my invention my son helped me to develope. I discussed in length with representative Allen Rombold about my idea and how to protect, process, and patent my idea. He advised all this would be mailed to me and we would discuss at time of next phone appointment set for 5/12/05(I did find this kind of unusual at this time). I received a confidentiality agreement via email. I then received the contract dated 5/6/05 from Davison signed by Allen Rombold a representative with the name of my idea/invention.

I met my phone appointment set with him. I listened to his line about only what his company was going to do. I then began asking questions about how it protected me? He did not want to answer such questions that it is in the contract and began getting aggitated and said he had another phone call to make. I asked about why in the paperwork sent to me the "Disclosure Document Deposit Request form" from Commissioner for Patents office was out dated? He said it did not make a difference (HUMM). I asked why in the contract Davison has all the control and me(the client would not have any)(this is how I interpreted the legal mumbo jumbo)When I began going over the contract line by line and asking of his interpretation he really began getting impatient with me saying now we have been on the phone 20 minutes and that he had another phone appointment to meet.

When I questioned him why he didn't have time for me now before I signed the contract he answered with a question(Why do you think that I am not answering your questions?). He stated he has answered every questions I have asked. And he did but by answering Davison is only agreeing to research on my idea for me with the fee they are charging. When I asked what are the next steps he advised it is a different part of the company and at this time he cannot comment on future happenings. He then responded now if I want to get my signed contract to him ASAP I can fax to him with my credit card and pay $685.00 so he can get started on this research for me ASAP. I advised I am uneasy about the contract perhaps I should have a lawyer read and interpret the "legal jargon". He simply advises me I am protected that all they will do is research, product related data search, and file the Disclosure Document for me with my idea for me. I was really uneasy at this point that I could not get answers about future processes, developements, protypes.

And also I asked why does Davison think they should get 10% of any future interest? Per contract I(the client) am responsible for paying for Licensing, prototyping, and responsible for the costs associated with presenting the product/design to a Licensee. Before I brought this up he did advised me the 10% covers the presentation/meeting in a board room with prospective companies interested in "my idea". (HUM-in legal terms would this be the something I would be responsible for under this contract?), this sounds fishy to me. I am very worried at this point. They have my idea/concept. I was going ahead with signing "the contract from Davison" and going to fax back to them, but something told me to check with ripoffreport.com to see if anyone had any unpleasant dealings with this company. I did see a report.

And I do know if Davison representative does not want to discuss the contract now with me in detail(prior to signing) then perhaps there is something they are trying to hide or manipulate with legal mumbo jumbo?
