checked into Days inn-Coliseum North Charleston on Saturday 6/2/07-came to Charleston for Martina McBride Concert at the N. Charlkeston Coliseum two blocks from hotel. It was a rainy day and we had travelled from Savanna, GA for the concert. Just wanted to take a break before the event. When we received our key cards for rooms, neither of them worked or uinlocked doors. SO myself andmy friend the other room(there were total 3 kids/3adults)walked back to the front lobby in the rain since we had already taken suitcases etc out of car. Told the girl keys didn't work and she kind of laughed and siad yes, I now I programmed them backwards. So we went back to the rooms 112 and 114-both non-smoking and able to get in. I went to use the restoom in 114, and the bathroom floor was covered in water as well as the top rtimof the tub was wet and the shower was drippiong/running slightly splashing water around. The knob on shower just turned and would not cut off. So I took a towel and laid it on the floor to saok up th water so nobody would fall. As I was wiping up the water, arouind the back of the toilet, there was dried urine that appeared to have been tghere for quite some time. needless to say it was disgusting. The carpet had sand all aopund the room was not acceptable. The second room reaked of cigarettesmaoke and musty.

We decided we were not staying here. Went down to lobby/desk and told girls. Stood aroiubnd ten minuites while they were n the phone with I guess housekeeping and the mgr who was at home. Housekeeping said that we had used towels and that would have to go clean the roomagaion if they were able to resell. Of course, I had already told them I used a towel to clean up the water mess in the one bathroom. So word from Ngr who was not even there or bothered to talk to any of us, over the phone said no refund becasue they probably couldn't resell room. Which I found hard to believe since there was a concert and the LPGA going on as well. We had already stopped at three other hotels and they were booked. I paid by Mastercard approximently in the amount of 74.99 + tax-we never saw or were given a receipt either. Name on card was Brenda K. Stewart USAA card issuer. We asked to speak to the housekeeper and they refused. They told us we would have to call the Mgr. on Monday. And their attitude was anything but courteous or professional. One was in a hurry to go home. This was around 4P on Sat. June 2, 2007. (Less)
