For the 4th of july me and my family took a trip to Miami, and stayed at the days inn of south beach. they claim to have beach access, yeah if you count having to walk down to the public access, because they have a fence around the property you can see the beach from the pool behind the fence.
Parking!!! they don't have ANY, we had to ride in circles for an hour waiting for a parking space over at the public beach so we could walk to the hotel, and parking costed $6 per day tickets sold at the front desk?
Then.... the room oh my god yuck the frame on my bed was soooo broke along with a couple of springs, it made a loud thonk when you move just a little. I've seen better beds at the salvation army/side of the highway. We had a nice view of a construction site and alottttttttt of homeless. oh and the elevator did not work the whole stay (3days) and we were on the 8th floor. the people at the front desk were mean and wouldn't do any if you did not give them a little something ($20).

Object to elitist rebuttal

While its true that some aspects of a motel location can't be helped, I object to the tone of the above rebuttal. It sounds arrogant and elitist.
People who stay in budget accommodations may pay more dearly with their hard-earned money than someone who stays at a luxury hotel. No, budget travelers are not cheap and greedy, as the author of the rebuttal implies. No, they don't expect something for nothing.
But they shouldn't stand for filth or rude service. Just because you don't have a lot of money to spend doesn't mean you should be treated as a third-class citizen.

WHAT A BLODDY HEAP O' HOGWASH!!!!

First of all, you made reservations at a Day's Inn. Everyone and anyone knows that a Day's Inn is hardly a first-class establishment. You will be lucky if you get two-day old sheets without stains on them, and only one or two rats roaming throughout the room. Second of all, you were in Miami. Traffic, homeless people, construction, parking fees, what exactly do you expect to find in Miami! It sounds to me like you did not do your homework when planning this trip. You saw the price for the Day's Inn and your eyes lit up with glee at how cheap it was. Then you did no research at all about Miami and what to expect when you get there. Next time, do your homework, choose a place wisely, and remember that once you get there you won't be in Biloxi anymore!
