Anthony Roberts Jr. posted an ad on craigslist in Las Vegas stating for a $1000 fee he can add you to a strong credit file, guranteed approval and start getting credit cards up to $250,000.00

Once you give him them the money, he sends an application, ask for you id, ssc and pay check stubs, and says process takes 2 weeks, after th 2 weeks he stops returning your calls and texting.  At my surprise he dropped my fee to $350 and i was to pay him back when I got credit cards, but in reality he just wanted to get something from me, because I didnt have the $1000

I thought I did my research, didnt see him on this site, but vowed to add him after this fraudalent experience.  I am disputing with my bank because the google wallet account didnt work so I had to do wire transfer which is not refundable unlike a debit or credit card. He may changes his name, but if you hear about this, it is a scam.

The whole thing sounds like fraud to me...

What I don't get is why you would send your personal ID and financial information to a stranger on Craigslist????

Aren't you worried about ID theft?

As to having your name added to someone else's account - isn't that fraud, unless you are a co-signer?  Sounds like you were trying to get credit lines without actually applying for them through the companies that issue the credit line.

If I were you, I would freeze my credit reports so no one could open an account using your name and address and ID.  Don't be so foolish to hand out your info to some stranger.
