Debary Truck Sales advertised a very nice looking semi on-line at a reasonable price.  I went over and looked at the semi on Saturday and decided to purchase it.  I told the salesman I wanted to have my driver purchase the truck but I would be willing to put 40-50% down for him.  I also agreed to co-sign if necessary.  The salesman requested a $2000 down payment which I gave him.  My driver completed the credit application and was called on Monday and told his payment on less than $16000 would be almost $1000 a month for 3 years and the interest would be 37%.  That is completely and utterly insane. I called the salesman on Tuesday and told him we would be looking into other avenues and I would like my check back based on a bank charging 37% interest.  I was told all deposits were non-refundable.  This salesman is a snake as far as I'm concerned and they have a real racket going.  Advertise a very nice truck for a reasonable price, take deposits on it because several people are interested, then come back with a ridiculous amount of interest and keep your non-refundable deposit.  I bet they make a pretty penny scamming people.
