My husband found this womans website and found the most georgeous little puppy for me for Christmas. He made the deposit, and then the final payment, and our little princess was finally ready for us to bring home in Feburary. This is when the madness started-
After DAYS and DAYS of no cal backs, 2 broken promises to ship and many many phone calls and emails later we finally got our puppy. When we received her at the Airport in Dallas she was many hours late and in a horrible mood and her carrier had to papers on it, no a vet check, no papers anything, but because her flight had been delayed so long, and it was 2 am in the morning we took her and went to the hotel and got some sleep.
One thing I can say about Debbies puppies are that their personalities are awesome. We named our little pup DeeDee and we are totally in love with her. There are 2 main issues we have with this breeder, the first is that we bought what we were lead to believe was an AKC registered Tiny Imperial Shihtzu, well deedee is now 6 months old and she is 9 lbs and we have never received her papers. My husband and I have both made multiple calls and sent emails trying to get a resolution to this issue. Debbie has given us so many excuses that it is mind blowing, from she was sick, to no money to register the litter ( we offered to pay the fee) to her computer crashing.
In the course of all of this madness, this breeder had the nerve to tell us to send our puppy back to her. We were so appaled, we love deedee and we would never think of giving her back. DeeDee has a home where she is loved, she is a truly pampered pooch and she is ours. This crazy lady used PROFESSIONAL Pictures we had of our baby made and took a deposit on her from another family. We are so upset, we seriously would have bought another puppy from her, but at this point we feel we are dealing with the devil.
We would love to have a resolution on this issue of her papers, but we have decided to try to let it go because even if we found out tomorrow that she is a Heinz 57 it would not change one bit out much we love her.
Anyone who choses to do business with her beware and make sure you get everything upfront on your puppy

Although cross breeding is discouraged in all breeds, members agree that no Chinese Imperial Dog shall be crossbred to any other breed in order to protect the purity of the CHINESE IMPERIAL DOG.
This is what the CID club who breeds under developed shih-tzu. They have a member who cross breeds and still allows her to do so this club is a joke

I really think you got lucky with your dee dee . Please look @ akc weight requirement for shih-tzu. I have 4 shih-tzu and though I have also produced small shih-tzu my vets never liked that. I live in a large city and have had 3 to 4 vets because of my shih-tzu going into labor and having to resort to a er type clinic for animals. I have met a vet yet who agrees with the breeding dwn of shih-tzu. My vets if anyone would like their Vet Qualifications says that when you breed under 9 lbs in shih-tzu you breed down organs. I only want to make comment here for I have not been to this site in awhile. Please beware of shih-tzu under 9 pounds. Ask your vet WHAT is really bred DOWN when they are reproduced sooo small. Organs are down sized. Its like who would in their right mind Go against not only akc who says up to 16 pounds but most of all against a Vet. I think the vets know and ask your vet if breeding down shih-tzu is wise ethical or moral. MOST OF ALL ITS Wrong according to 4 vets in Mobile with degrees from some very influencial colleges. Please buy shih-tzu the size it should be. I noted that the breeder reported have a small male(3 lbs) and I assure you under weight shih-tzu is inhumane if bred to be under weight on purpose. Who would want to go against nature ? 10-16 pounds is a shih-tzu A true Shih-tzu that is healthy and no organs bred down. Always find a reputable breeder in your area then maybe ripoff animal services can take down this area of ripoff. Remember if your son was 5'4 you would love him or 6'2 Healthy is the key to shih-tzu and downsizing is not a wise choice. I have king charles girl and boy and I hope some idiot doesn't comes along and wants to down size this new found breed of pets I love. Oh my king CHarles is spayed along with my Tzus.
