I purchased two pairs of designer eyeglasses from the decormyeyes.com website after speaking with a sales woman on the phone. She assured me that the items were guaranteed authentic. She also indicated that if I was unsatisfied with my purchase, I could return one or both the items for a full refund of the purchase price less shipping. After waiting over nearly two weeks and not receiving my products, I called numerous times to inquire on my order's status- speaking with a different sales woman each time and getting nowhere (they would continually tell me that the order had shipped and that it was UPS's fault for the delay). Finally, after asking to speak to the sales manager or owner several times, I was put through to Tony Russo. Before I got a chance to ask why my order hadn't been shipped and when I could finally expect delivery, Tony stated that his company was not responsible for any delays and perhaps I had provided them with incorrect information- he was extremely rude and defiant; and, when I asked why he was being so beligerant and confrontational, he stated, "I'm a New Yorker- that's how we are!" Getting nowhere with him, I turned to correspondance via email to find out if his manner and tone would change- still the same rude and arrogant attitude. This time, he challenged me to call UPS myself to figure out where my order was and was defiant in providing me with any assistance. I told him I wanted to cancel my order so he issued an RMA and told me that there would be a 20% "restocking fee." I explained that I wasn't returning anything because I hadn't even received the glasses I had ordered; however, he insisted that it was my tough luck and I had to deal with the policies- then pointed to his websites Return Policy statements. I explained, again, that I was not told that there would be any "restocking fees" or issues should I wish to cancel my order but was met with the excuse, "I'm in the business to make money, not give it away." I asked if this was standard practice for him to condone dishonest behavior and he retorted, "My sales people are there to sell and will tell customers anything in order to close the deal. That's what it means to sell." About one and a half weeks after I filed a dispute with my credit card company, my order miraculously appeared and was delivered (nearly 3 weeks after my dealings with this unscrupulous man); so, I allowed the charges to process through my credit card (this was back in March 2010). Then one day, just recently, I receive a threatening email from Tony Russo. I responded to let him know that I wasn't about to take his BS. Shortly thereafter, I receive an email filled with racist epitaths. In between his racist remarks, Tony Russo admitted that he had sold me two pairs of fakes and bragged about how pleased he was that he had ripped me off by several hundreds of dollars (I have his emails and will forward it for all who request a copy). Don't fall prey to this unsavory character... Do your research thoroughly before buying from this company and its affiliates. This company, in particular, the owner, Tony Russo, is out to defraud and deceive you into paying large sums of money for counterfeit products.
