When my child custody case first began I was pleased with the work attorney Dee Dolvin was doing for me and my child. Later on there were several instances where this attorney started being abusive towards me. I paid this attorney for the work she was doing as the case was unfolding. After she had completed a certain amount of work she would ask for payment. At a certain point during the case I had told her that I was unable to pay the full amount she was asking for in order to proceed into another part of the case. Once I had told her that I could not pay right away but was willing to come up with a payment plan, attorney Dee Dolvin began threatening to drop my case and this was on more than just a few occasions, several in fact.  Leading from this incident when I tried calling her to find out information about the status on my case she would get angry and frustrated with me and hang up the phone. I then attempted to leave her a voice mail message and the call was never returned.

Attorney Dee Dolvin never told me how much money it would take to solve my case and I feel like she was extorting money from me since she kept asking for it and if I did not pay more she would throw out my case.

On a later date I had found out that attorney Dee Dolvin had secretly been disclosing confidential information about my case to other attorneys she which she was associated with or was friends with. I had never given her permission to do so neither did she ever ask for my permission to do so. In the end her actions caused a conflict of interest with an attorney that she gave great detailed information about the case. This attorneys actions also compromised the safety and wellbeing of my child's life.

I feel that an attorney should be someone trustworthy, a person who keeps client confidentiality and obviously attorney Dee Dolvin did not. It is also my opinion that if an attorney acts this way they should not be allowed to continue working in this line of profession and should be thoroughly investigated. A person that confides in an attorney and knows nothing about laws should be able to trust that attorney one hundred percent.  I would like attorney Dee Dolvin thoroughly investigated and make sure no one has to go through what I was made to go through as her client.
