You do NOT want to work here. This is a really crooked company. The owner Wiliam Pinkett will promise you a lot of things he WILL NOT deliver. He'll tell you that you'll make $350 base pay. But he's really paying you minimum wage and only giving you 35 hours a week AT MOST. The owner will look for ANY way possible not to pay you commission: you don't start making commission until you make the company $500 in sales that week, and only if you the customers get the choice package or above (one of the mid-range packages), and then only if those sales install the equipment within the same week as each other. So you're not getting paid for sales, your sales only count if they actually install. Sometimes, that can be implement out of your control. Besides the fact that selling direct tv in walmart is ridiculously hard- they actually makes sales for less than 2% of everyone they talk to. So if you have a bad week, and don't make any sales- he'll fire you. This company will have you driving all over the state, but don't offer any gas compensation. Don't call in sick, because he will fore you for it. He just did it to two people last week. If you have a bad week, he'll fire you. If you cost William Pinkett any money, he will fire you. Your only purpose is to make him money. Money you will only see a fraction of. The company is set up like a pyramid scam, will all the money being made by the business traveling to the top. Don't believe me? Look up the companies' old name: Bravo Home Entertainment. The first page of a google search is nothing but warnings about this company and bad reviews. That's what William Pinkett (specifically) and the company does when their actions catch up to them- change the company name.

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

D.E.I Marketing (Formerly Bravo Home Entertainment) is 100% NOT worth your time

AUTHOR: GoodRiddance - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, January 05, 2016

First off...it says a lot about a company that has to change it's name because it was getting a dirty reputaion. D.E.I was formerly Bravo Home Entertainment and a quick google search can lead to some interesting revelations. I can coroborate the original report on this page: everything he said was true. The crux of the problem is owner William Pinkett. If you're not making him money, you're worthless to him. Don't let his charming attitude in your first interview or phone conversations convince you otherwise. He only needs to keep up the act long enough to convince you it's a decent place to work where you can make decent money.

After that, it's all about his bank account and if you aren't making him enough money, you're suspended without pay for a couple of days or just straight up fired. The office is in Owego but most often I was sent to the Elmira Sams Club and was never compensated for gas or time driving. A few things...Will liked to have a group text to keep you motivated throughout the day, which works until you aren't performing to his expectaions and then he starts shaming you and calling you out specifically for how terrible of a job you're doing and that you "should give up and go home". Qoutes straight from my phone. He demoralizes you and even hang's bonus' in front of you like a hungry dog. Never once did I see a bonus for hitting goals. They're a fairy tale.

Also, an employee got in a car accident on the way to the store while driving another employee. Will had the nerve to text the employee who was riding with the other and tell her to leave the one who had just been in an accident and make it to the store. What a terrible and cold thing to do. Will Pinkett is a young (24) college drop-out who thinks he knows more than you because his bank account is bigger. Don't let him fool you. You're the smarter one for staying away from this poisonous individual. Hopefully one day we can get him to leave the area and leave our poor Wal-mart and Sam's Clubs shoppers alone. If you are someone you know is thinking of applying, tell them to steer clear. Working at McDonalds would be a better choice
