Allianz Global Assistance Ripping off consumer.

My wife bought this travel insurance to protect her if she could not make her travel planes.

She has RA, her RA become very active and she had problems sitting and walking. The Doctor that has been treating her change here medicine to a new drug to see if this could help her maintain a somewhat normal lifestyle.

When we turned in the claim to Allianz Global Assistance they denied the claim saying that this was a pre-existing conduction and was not covered. I explained to Allianz Global Assistance, before the flare-up she could walk and sit
without any problem, but since the flair-up and the doctor changed her meds, she could do nothing except bed rest. I talk to a supervisor at Allianz Global Assistance and they said they could not pay the claim.

It appears that Allianz Global Assistance looks for every way to deny claims

Jackie from the Help Team here.  Were sorry that you and your wife had to cancel your vacation, and we sympathize with your situation.  One thing Id like to point out is that travel insurance is like any other type of insurance in that there are terms, conditions and exclusions that affect coverage.  As you know, the product you purchased did not include coverage for existing medical conditions. Our claims department reviews the physician statement form submitted by your doctor, and bases their determination on the information we receive from your doctor.
