let me tell you. whatever Destiny home you are looking at on a dealer lot that you fell in love with, buy that lot model because they put their best foot forward on the lot model. the factory will cheaply and shoddily sling your home together if you special order it and it will be a cheap pale imitation of what you see on the dealer lot with your trim work and paint that looks like it was done by a bunch of 3 year old kids..and you will have a helluva time getting them to come fix any issues or mistakes they make with your new home in a timely manner before your one year "warranty" expires.

Roof still leaking. After losing my religion trying to talk to Johnnie Lovett and the "warranty" company, we finally had to have our own professional roofer take a look. The issue is shoddy work from the Moultrie GA plant. The shingles and stuff around the chimney was not cemented down proper when it was built.
I guess we have to eat this ourselves bc the so called warranty company immediately verbally attacked me over the phone before ever hearing me tell him of our issues, stipulating that it covers only workmanship defects of joists, frame, trusses and other stuff you'd never file a claim on anyhow because all that is probably tightly inspected to be sure the p.o.s. doesn't come apart on the highway in transport to the next poor sucker who makes the mistake of purchasing a Destiny home.
There's no help for you after closing day. Even the State fire marshal's inspector who came after we filed a complaint with them seems to be in on the palm greasing and a*s covering they all do for each other. Wish I could start a class action lawsuit on these greedy people.

Photos of issues from day 1. We have suffered thru this hell with these people for 18 months so far. Note the roof leaking thru the ceiling fan. This was 4 months after moving in and took them about 4 months and 5 attempts plus reporting them to the State fire marshal office (state of GA has no actual HUD office) before someone finally decided whose responsibility it was to repair the large hole in the roof. I still believe the roof was damaged pulling the home into that oak tree that their boss said didn't need to be cut down on set up day. The ceiling was cracking from day 1. They have sent men on 3 occasions to fix it and each time they've worked on it, the fracture grows bigger! Trim has been falling off from day 1 and more damage was done to it and some of the sheetrock was damaged from their ”securing” it with a high powered nail gun not suitable for use on delicate trim by no means. About 8-10 months in, I discovered mold growing around the breaker box. Guy came and smeared silicone around it and called it fixed. Walls in 2 areas of home had to be torn out, and wall studs fixed some kind of way due to buckling.. right at Christmas time 2016.
