I had a call tonight from a collections agency that said that I owe Diamond Enterprises over $1000.00-but they were willing to "make a deal" for me to pay off this illegal debt-this makes not only Diamond Enterprises legally sueable, it also makes the collections agencies liable for trying to collect on an illegal debt. This can be handled in small claims court, suing Diamond for damages, fraud, using the U.S. mail to defraud the public, and I'll think of more. Please feel free to contact me-there might be a class-action suit availabe ---bill

Would love Class Action Lawsuit against Diamond Enterprises!

AUTHOR: JoGib - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, October 23, 2010

I just discovered that my brother, who is mentally-handicapped, fell for this scam and has had about $600 billed to his credit card since May. I have just cancelled his credit card and will contact Diamond to attempt cancelling his membership, but would really like to see these jerks pay for their sins. If a class action lawsuit is formed, sign me up!

Please Advise

hello, i just read your comment regarding this company Diamond Enterprises and believe my boyfriend too has been "scammed" by the same.  He is in the process of attempting to contact this company to cancel his subscription, but in the mean time, what recourse does he have to get the payments stopped from automatically being withdrawn from his bank acct. and not be sent to collections once they realize he is not paying anymore.  He had wondered why his pmts had doubled and magazines were not coming anymore.  I see you may be bringing a class action suit, if so, please let me know how we can be a part thereof.  julie - dayton, ohio

It gets even better

We recieved a letter from a collection Agency today EMPIRE COLLECTION AUTHORITIES, Inc. claiming to be out of Aberdeen, WA supposedly for an account with Western Readers Services, For the exact amount that we supposedly owe Diamond Enterprises. So noe Diamond Enterprises is using yet another name and to top it all off I contacted the BBB in Aberdeen WA to find out about this collection agency to find out that there are  no collection agencies doing business in that area. Just another scam on their part to try to get money out of people that they have screwed over.

Have the same ol' story as most everyone on here

AUTHOR: Troutfishin - (U.S.A.)

I, too, received the "postcard" in the mail. Funny, it was right after I signed up for a subscription to Playboy magazine. I, too, called the number. I asked if the order was in regards to my DVD I am supposed to get for signing up with Playboy magazine. I, too, was scammed, however, I never said "Yes" to any of thier "other" offers, I only asked for the 1 DVD. After receiving a phone call a few minutes later to "confirm" my order, the woman on the phone said, "Yes, we have you set up for your free DVD and signed up with our service." I said, "I only wanted the free DVD, and did not want to be signed up with their service." She promptly hung up. I tried calling their so called "customer service" line and got the answering machine twice and hung up on 6 times. After looking up the company's information, I reached this site, read some of the stories, and at that point, I called up Card Member services with Visa, cancelled my Visa Check card, and put a Fraud/Dispute on their $9.95 charge. I recieved the "free" DVD in the mail a couple days later and told the postman about this scam company and that I am refusing delivery of said package. He had me take it up to my local post office so that I could recieve a reciept showing that I had refused delivery of the package. I also included this reciept in with my Dispute claim I filed with my bank. Bank tells me the dispute process takes months and I will have to wait until after dispute resolution to get my $9.95 back. I have not recieved any harassing phone calls as of yet and if I do, I will just have my mobile phone company block their numbers or get a new phone number.

Also, today, I sent this e-mail to Playboy Magazine's customer service department:

Hello,

I have currently changed my permission preferences and would like to verify that I DO wish to be contacted by Playboy via e-mail about my subscription and that I DO wish to be contacted about Playboy products and services however I DON'T want to be contacted by other third party services for purchase of their products or services. I am very adamant about the latter as my address information was sold or transferred to a DVD scam business run out of Stockton, CA by Playboy. The scam business in question is Diamond Enterprises of Stockton, CA aka Silk Enterprises of Stockton, CA. I am very displeased for Playboy selling/giving my information to a scam business and if such an incident occurs again, I will be cancelling my subscription permananently. I also suggest that Playboy do a better job in screening businesses in its program as this company has been running this scam for at least 2+ years and some stories start out with "I just subscribed to Playboy and received this in the mail....". If you wish to read further about said scam business, I suggest these links: (((Redacted)))

and all of the reports I have read at:

http://www.ripoffreport.com/searchresults.asp?q5=diamond+enterprises&q1=ALL&q4=&q6=&q3=&q2=&q7=&searchtype=0&submit2=Search%21

Currently, I am now in a credit dispute with the scam company, however they did not get me as badly as some of the other people in those above reports. So, again, I would like my privacy preferences verifed that my information will NO LONGER be sold, distributed, or transmitted IN ANY FORM, whatsoever, to a third party company that Playboy "works" with. Thank you again and also, to save other potential subscribers from this scam business, I suggest you remove Diamond Enterprise(s) aka Diamond Enterprise Magazines aka Silk Enterprise(s) from your third party offers list or whatever its called.

I hope that the letter does not fall on blind eyes. I also am filing a lenghty letter to their domain name provider: NetworkSolutions.com .
