When I took my car in for tire roatation, they said I needed new breaks because the front ones were down to the bare metal. They said I should not drive more than 100 miles. They also recommended back breaks. They said they could do this right then for four hundred and some dollars.

I decilned their service and had someone else get new breaks for me. I was told however that I did not need any breaks because they did not show any wear and there was nothing wrong with them. I had them put on anyway because I was traveling out of state the next day.

When I returned home, I went to a store that sold breaks, a garage, and a service center that also did break work and ALL THREE SAID THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY BREAKS. I reported this to Dickson City and the manager said he would look into it and get back to me.

After not hearing from anyone I filed a complaint with Hyundai Consumer Affairs. They told me to take the breaks back which I did. Nick looked at them and said the front ones were coming apart I could not see where and he never explained if the front ones were coming apart why they also recommended new back breaks. I later called, but he did not return my call. After hearing this I went to an auto parts store and was told they were fine. I also went to a break service center and was told the same thing.

Hyundai Consumer Affaris took my information and gave me the number of two other dealers where I can now go for service.

If this isn't enough of a ripoff check out their FREE tires for life program. Yes the tires are free, but by the time You Pay TO HAVE THEM PUT ON you could go elsewhere for your oil change and buy your tires (which are mounted, blalnced, and rotated for free) and be ahead of the game.

my experience while purchasing a new vehicle from this dealer:

I wanted another hyundai after owning one years back, so i went to dc hyundai.
I was really unimpressed with the staff, but i went on to purchase a vehicle anyway, trading my vehicle i had in towards the new one. anyhoo, the finance person[s] were extraordinarily deceptive-to an almost political level, not disclosing loan companies, apr's etc. standard fair for people who work at a car lot? i guess.

The moral of the story is stay away from this dealership. i could relate countless stories from friends, associates etc. concerning repair ripoffs, and goofball practices at this location. this dealership particulary preys on women, and the uninformed with circus clown style antics.

to the hyundai car company itself, they make good vehicles=to any US manufacturer, so maybee they can straighten out dchyndai someday......
