Digital Audio 2003 ripoff Bullhead City Arizona

White van speaker scam. Two white guys in white mini van. Claimed to be professional installers that received extra goods at the wearhouse. Their boss is a jerk and will just keep the speakers so they're "giving them away for beer money". Told me they were top of the line, professional quality speakers that they put in movie theatres.

These guys had invoices, receipts, business cards, and a magazine that confirmed the speakers value and quality. The guy was doing me a favor... Showed me the speakers and even loaded them into my car telling me he's gotta get rid of them, make me an offer.... these things are worth like 3 grand.... I just want beer money man... I'll take whatever you can get blah blah blah. I pull 300 for m the atm plus another 80 I had in my wallet. SUCKER!

I get home and try these new speakers. They don't even work and jump on the net to see if I can get more info aobut the speakers and find out I'm one of many that have been scammed in the EXACT smae way!

The guy even had the nerve to give me his phone number and tell me if I ever decide to sell them and get like $1000 to call him and hook him up with a 100 or so. AND THE PHONE NUMBER IS REALLY HIS! I called him and told him I read all about his scam on the net and I wanted my money back. He hung up on me and I haven't been able to get ahold of him since. But I did get his licence plate too.

After reporting the incident to the police, I've found out that the van was a rental out of Las Vegas (about 90 miles away). Probably rented with fake info. But the phone number really is his. Hope it leads somewhere.
If anybody has any info to help track this scumbag down or can offer any advice that would be great. If you have been recently scammed in the same way - share your story and POST IT! That way maybe it will help track these guys down. I hope I run into these guys again. I guarantee it will go down differently. Even if it's different guys running the same scam, they will lose this time - I promise!
