I should have known! These guys are a bunch of fake ripoff con-artists! A guy yells at me saying that he has some speakers for sale. Their story is consistent with the rest of the reports. He says that he is a driver/sub-contractor for a home theater installation company. He says that his boss would be shocked to find another four sets of speakers from the ones that they have installed. That the boss would keep the speakers or sell it for a profit. The guy says he just wants to get rid of it. He shows me a service order and a brochure for the speakers with the price at $1195. I fell for it, paid about 1/3 of that price.
Beware! These guys are everywhere! They target bank parking lots, supermarket parking lots and just about anywhere you can pull out cash. Even ebay! I know because I was victimized in one of these places. After doing research on the internet, I found out that digital-pro-audio or Gold Trident Entertainment, Inc.- the company that created the website or maybe an accomplice (search network solutions.com for whois) is a fake company. If you look at the packaging for the speakers, it does not seem illegitimate at all but if you look inside you would not even see a single contact information. Even their website would not give you any addresses or contact information. So that suggests that they are fake. What type of business do not give out any contact information or even an address. If I am right that Gold Trident is their accomplice then we might be able to find out who is behind this nationwide scam. I have placed a call to their number 1-800-743-3368 but it is just an answering machine.
The guys that ripped me off were in their mid to late 20's. One is about 5'8" skinny built, clean shaved, wore a red shirt, white/blue cap and stone washed jeans. The other was probably about 6'0" skinny built as well, had a mustache and goatee, long hair, wore a bandanna, wore light brown tattered shorts. They were driving a 2002/3 Ford Explorer which is more than likely a rental. They both liked video games. I know because he asked me if I would give them video games for the speakers.
If you guys are looking at this e-mail, you know that you will get caught and possibly rot in a hell hole somewhere. You think you are slick. Think again. I have a photographic memory and will update this post with a sketch of your ugly faces. Let us all help each other get rid of these scumbags.
