My complaint is with a company called Digital River. On 12/22/06 I ordered Microsoft Money 2007 through an internet download offered by Digital River. The download never went through so I called and spoke w/Chad who suggested I re-download the product. I did so and found in January that my Master card was charged $39.99 on 12/22/06 & again on 12/23/06. I called and spoke with Scott who transferred me to the refund department. I requested a refund and explained that I never received the first download. The only order number I received was occured on 12/23/06 after successfully downloading the program. On 2/26/07 I called Digital River @ 18006565426 to check the status of my refund as my Master card had not yet been credited. Waited on hold 39 minutes and was told that computers were down try again. 2/27/07 I called and was informed by Leah that my refund was denied. She stated that she couldn't provide any further information.

I have reveiwed all of the complaints at rip-off report and was also surprised by the number of forums and general complaints filed on Digital River. There are also several headlines that discuss how profitable they have become. Wonder why? I am very interested in a class action suit and will continue pursuing this matter. I am also contacting my state representative and governer and additionally the representatives in MN. I am also prepared to contact the news in MN to see if they are interested in what continues to go on in their own backyard. Internet searches show that Joel Ronning is the CEO, and I have also sent him messages explaining the downloading/charge & communication problems.

Your Desired Resolution:
I am requesting that $39.99 that was charged twice by Digital River be refunded to me. Leah, a representative at Digital River confirmed on 2/27/07 at approximately 2:30pm that she could see from Digital River records that they did charge me twice.

This case will be reviewed by a complaint specialist at the Better Business Bureau, and then forwarded to the business for their response. It is our policy to allow the business 10 working days to respond to your complaint. You will be notified when the business has responded.
