Direct USA - Jeremy Graham This company is a total ripoff. This individual has a Florida and Mississippi phone number on his card. Yet no physical address. Pensacola Florida

To make a long story short, cause I am just sick and tired of even thinking about this episode, I'll just hit the highlights.

Guy shows up in a pick-up truck right behind me as I get home. I am a senior citizen and disabled Vietnam/Iraq vet. I was having a very painful day and didn't feel like standing out there listening to his con. Told him I wouldn't have any money till the first.

He said he'd take a post dated check. He said these steaks were cheaper and better than anything you could get at Wal-mart, etc., and they only cost around $3 each. I could have the whole box for the special price, just for me, of $188.

By this time I was just in so much pain and this guy wouldn't take no for an answer, I wrote him a check dated 1 Jun 08. I asked him who to make it out to, and he insisted that I leave it blank. Someone appears not to be reporting all their income.

When I got in the house, my son and I noticed the box had a net weight of thirteen pounds, which means I paid $14 a pound and a good deal of it was "Angus Steak Burgers". Well, I thought about it and decided there was no way in hell I was paying $14 a lb for junk meat, so I called Jeremy.

I told Jeremy he had until 1:30 Friday to pick up his meat and return my check, or I would stop payment on his check. This was on the 27th. Jeremy said it wouldn't be a problem, he just had to check with his "supervisor". I never heard from Jeremy again. I made numerous calls to him, but nothing. Friday afternoon rolls around, no Jeremy.

I call my bank to put a stop payment on the check ($30) and my bank says hey you know what? Your check is sitting right here, it was deposited on the 27th. Obviously, Jeremy's "supervisor" told him to run to the bank as fast as he could to try and cash a post-dated check.

The bank said they were charging me $35 insufficient fee charge because they were returning the check. I told them that I wasn't paying the fee and we eventually worked that out, then I paid to stop payment on the check.

I called Jeremy, he wouldn't answer, so I left him a message that said I didn't appreciate him playing slicky-boy with me and that I was considering pressing charges since Florida has elderly abuse laws, price gouging laws, etc. No more Jeremy.

Someone needs to see if these guys even have business licenses, let alone report their income.

Oh, by the way, for those of you who live in Florida, please be advised that Jeremy Graham also informed me that he had a Florida Real Estate License. So watch out..... I'm going to check with the Realtor's Association and see if they ever heard of him, I doubt very much if they have.

Well, lesson learned, stay the hell away from these people.....
