Unfair treatment from Directsat USA main authorized contractor for directv:
Technicians get Blamed for everything and it affects our pay greatly, for instance after we complete a new install or go to a house to repair a problem, 90 days within that period of time if something happens to the directv system no matter if it's weather related, customer caused, if the customer gets a new roof and the roofers move the dish, no matter if the customer moves a receiver and and doesn't know how to connect it back, if the remote gets un programmed, no matter what customer cause issue is, or if the equipment built by directv goes bad, the technician gets penalized and we get less money, Not fair
We get paid piece work not per hour and when we drive from job to job we don't get paid for the drive even if the job gets cancelled.
As busy as we most of the time Are, we don't have time to clean and organized our vans during the day and we do not get paid for that , we end up having to clean and organize our vans in our personal time.
Management is not very professional they curse at us a lot and push is around
They have a survey after we leave the customer premise and ask about the tech and that is a great part of how we get paid also and some of the questions are not fair at all, they ask if the tech came in a time frame expected and we have no control whatsoever about that, we may get behind at a job and be late for the next Not our fault, some jobs require more time than others. They ask based on your experience today,how likely are you to recommend directv to friends and family ? But when it comes to a service call where customer is very upset because their service goes out when there's bad weather they will give a low score or customer not happy for whatever reason which happens a lot they will not give a good score and that affects our pay a lot too.
One more thing this is a particular case that's happening to me right now, I got injured at work on my right arm, getting weak and falling asleep and the doctor put me on a lot of restrictions for the first week and even more for the second and third week there's only a rare 10% of typing and grabbing and writing, now I used to drive the company vehicle for my job but as soon as I got hurt they took it away, I used to drive it home after my last job , I Do not own a vehicle , I have no form of transportation now and they know that at my office in Eagan and I reminded them of that , but my company told workers com Not to pay me because I am not going to the office in Eagan to do light work which doesn't make sense because of my restrictions, I live in champlin. Now I am going to get behind into child support payment , my bills, the doctor put me on restrictions until I go get checked again which is on August 4th but my arm still bothers me, meanwhile I am not getting paid after getting hurt doing the job I used to do 6 days a week and Directsat USA doesn't care , they only care about their big bonuses. I had to hire an attorney to fight it and Iam still waiting for that process right now. But I will fight the injustice till the end.
