But don't let them trick you into believing they are a local Social Security disability law firm that has offices in any of those locations. Just try calling the number shown on each of those websites and ask the person who answers where they are located and you will find out its Los Angeles. Interestingly each website address (shown above) says "If you need a Social Security Disability Lawyer in (city shown) you are in the right place" and "Find a Social Security Lawyer Near You in (city shown)." Doesn't it make you wonder why they find it necessary to try to trick you into believing that they are a local Social Security Disability law firm doesnt it?
Well heres why, SSDI law is a lucrative but competitive business and Disability Group is at a disadvantage being based in Los Angeles instead of where the actual hearings take place. Does Binder & Binder or Allsup (two national SSD advocate competitors) try to trick you into where they are located? Nope, they just promote what they do. For another look at Disability Group go to: http://www.RipOffReport.com/lawyers/disability-group/disabilitygroup-com-disabilit-9wd44.htm
What youll find is that Disability Group is a Social Security Disability law "factory." They make their money getting as many easy to win cases as possible and collecting their fee. The problem for you is that once you sign up with them just try getting an answer on the status of your case. While getting approved for SSD is not a quick process, trying to get someone to return your call from the firm representing you shouldnt be just as difficult.
My advice, definitely find a law firm that specializes in Social Security Disability but make sure they are located near your area. They will be a lot more responsive and understanding than a company located so far away.

The Disability Group prides itself on advocating for benefits for each of its clients with dignity and respect. It is not just a way of practice; it is our business model. We at the Disability Group have great concern for each individual claim.
It is therefore bothersome to us when we come across postings such as this one. The author of this posting relies on one specious article and one irrelevant article to make an unfounded case that Disability Group practices deception.
First, the author relies on a two-year-old blog posting from a first-year law student, to suggest deception in the Disability Groups targeted advertising methods. Second, the author cites an article written in 2010 which discusses problems with the BBBs rating system; the article has nothing to do with The Disability Group and never references it.
We are unsure of the intent of the author of the RipOff Report commentary against the Disability Group, but we would like to reiterate that the Disability Group takes great pride in its ability to effectively advocate for its clients with dignity and respect.

The deception continues at Disability Group.

Nice attempt at sidestepping why Disability Group, Inc. promotes itself using websites that create the illusion of being a local Social Security Disability law firm. For those interested in more of the tricks Disability Group has used to confuse and lure prospective customers read: http://www.ipbrief.net/2011/03/31/commercial-parasite-binder-v-disability-group-inc/
If losing an infringement lawsuit in court isn't sufficient evidence, compare the Better Business Bureau's 7 complaints against Binder & Binder versus the 24 complaints against Disability Group as of 1/16/13. Considering that B&B is exponentially larger than DG makes the ratio more disturbing. Fortunately for DG, buying that BBB Online Reliability badge for all of your websites does keep up a good appearance but that's another story that can be found at: http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/la-business-bureau-chapter-head-bill-mitchell-quits/story?id=12458713) Just a question, is Disability Group also a member of each one of the local Better Business Bureau's in the cities the various websites imply they are located in?
No, I'm not a "disgruntled competitor" just a individual who doesn't like to see the disabled prayed upon by companies like Disability Group.

Thanx you

Thank you for taking the time to comment and for letting us
respond to your concerns. (Also, as a side note this exact comment was flagged
and removed from the Better Business Bureau site - as it is not a complaint by a
current or past client, but very clearly a disgruntled competitor).
You are correct; our corporate headquarters are located in Los
Angeles. However, if you take a look at any of our state-specific
websites, you will see that we put our Los Angeles address on the very front
page. We have these local websites since we have attorneys in every
single state who represent our clients. These local websites provide relevant
information and links to local resources like processing times in
Indianapolis, or low-cost medical clinics in Denver so that our clients
across the country can get access to the help they need. In the event any
client wants to meet with our local attorneys in their area they may do so.
You mentioned our competition in your comment, and we wanted to
let you know that we are very different from other national Social Security
Disability law firms. Other national firms send non-attorney
representatives to their clients hearings. We are a national law firm, which
means that when our clients go to hearings, they are represented by a licensed
attorney. These attorneys often know the local staff and the local
hearing processes, and they have extensive experience practicing Social
Security law in their respective regions.
We are proud to display our BBB Online Reliability
badge on all of our websites. If you check that site, youll see the feedback from some of our
very satisfied clients who were very aware of our policies and procedures.
We pride ourselves on treating prospective,
current, and past clients with dignity and respect, and this includes being
honest in our approach to the Social Security Disability industry.
Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate the opportunity
to explain our policy of advocating using local counsel for Social Security
Disability benefits.
Best wishes,
Disability Group
