My friends companies disability insurance company denied him disability due to diabetes, high blood pressure and depression.Since he has been employed there he was sick last Oct. due to a virus which caused Bell's Palsey, it paralyzed muscles in his face and weakness through out his body, nothing to do with the other 3 illnesses in which he was denied for..Now he has been a victim of a motorcycle accident where a pick-up truck crossed the yellow line and hit him, he was air-lifted to the hospital for his injuries.He will be out of work for 12-14 weeks and againn NO DISABILITY,this isn't caused from the other 3 illnesses again..

Can this be legal? He has bills and rent to pay even though he is with me at this time because he needs bandages changed 2X's a day and can not care for himself..How is he suppose to get better with the worry of collection agencys and overdue bills, maybe even losing his vehicle because he can't make the payments.. How can an insurance company deny someone.. What if he had this disabilty coverage and then became sick with diabetes or high blood pressure would they then cut his disability?.Please we need answers and help..
