I rented the car at discount rental car on September 15th. Several hours later the owner called me and asked me if I'd seen keys/ key fob to a Corvette. I had not seen them but I checked in my purse and in the rental car just to make sure. He called me a couple hours after that, saying that he had me on camera stealing the keys off the counter and putting them in my purse. Which is total crap. So the next morning I took back the rental car to take my business elsewhere. He showed me the video tape footage and it showed me to take something out of my wallet, look at it for a second and put it back in my wallet. It was indistinguishable and small like a piece of gum or a memory card. I personally remember looking at my memory card while I was in his office so I think that's what the item was. When I pointed out to him that I took it out of my wallet not off the counter, he changed his story. He said I must have found it outside on the ground or something. When I asked for my refund for bringing the car back 5 days early, he subtracted the cost of the key fob, and gave me some sort of afterhours penalty fee, leaving my refund around $40. And -this was from a payment of $267- which I had paid up front in full and in cash. I had also filled up the tank of gasoline- when I was given the car it only had around 1/8 of a tank in it. When I protested this blatant accusation and penalty without proof, he brought up the police. I said sure let's involve the police. I hope that they find it and then you'll get in trouble or falsely accusing me and refusing my refund. Then he said I was not allowed to return the car early. I pointed out that that was not in the contract anywhere and he said it doesn't say that you can return it early either. So I said fine, let me have the keys back since I've paid in full and cannot return the car early. He refused to give the keys to me saying he didn't have them even though I could see them on the counter where another employee set them after I gave them to him. So now I was being refused a refund AND A rental car which I had already paid for. I did not even get the $40. I have never been so insulted and disgusted In my life. Do yourself a favor and take your business to any other car rental company. This place is run by an ignorant, rude, and pompous jerk.
